  • Kitty's Got a Crush, But Surprise! It's Not Matt Dillon!

    8.0
Kitty meets a notorious gunslinger while on a stagecoach who saves her life but gets wounded in the process. She takes him back to Dodge City where he develops a relationship with her, but she has second thoughts due to already established relationship with Matt. Plus the town starts to go into a riot when word spreads of the gunslinger being in their city.

This is definitely an interesting episode of Gunsmoke, especially in the romance department. Usually the ones featuring Matt and Kitty together feature an implied sense of past love, but here, you can tell that they really love each other. I'm not too fond of love triangles, but the one shown here is quite entertaining to watch. The episode starts to get a little out of control in its more political moments, but in the end, Kitty's Love Affair is a fairly solid episode of this legendary series, with a very suspenseful climax that kept me on the edge of my seat.moreless
