In the scene where Peter tells his father about the fight, there is a moving shadow for a brief second along the right hand side of the screen.
When Matt and his prisoner are on the way back to Dodge, Matt is stabbed in the arm. There is no blood on his sleeve, and no visible wound. Yet, when he is seen in Doc's office, his sleeve is soaked with blood, and Doc has to stitch the wound.
While Virgil and the cook are taking care of Matt, one of them spills a spoonful of the milk right down the front of Matt's shirt, but neither his chest or his shirt is the slightest bit wet.
When the cook and some of the other cowboys go to tend to Matt's prisoner, the cook takes the spoon out of the bowl of milk. Then, when Virgil takes over feeding Matt the milk, the spoon is still in the bowl.
When Muley shaves off his beard, there are no tan lines on his face whatsoever. The part of his face that had been covered by beard should have been much lighter in color.
In the scene where they finally approach the water hole, if you look at the prisoner's left hand you can see that the shackles aren't fastened at all. It falls so far down the back of his hand he could have easily slipped it off.
The sheep herder Changra is described as having been brought from Australia with the Tyson family. Australia is the only continent where the entire indigenous population maintained a single kind of adaptation-hunting and gathering-into modern times. More than 200 different Aboriginal languages were spoken and most Aborigines were bilingual or multilingual.
When the man at the depot loads his shotgun, you can clearly see the tan marks for a modern watch on his wrist.
When Henry is in the quicksand, he is at different depths in different shots.
The sign at the Dodge train depot reads:
Dodge City Kansas Elev. 2485 Pop. 996
When Doc walked over to the stove to get a pan of water off you could hear the water boiling. You can clearly see in the pan and there wasn't any bubbles or steam. When Doc moved the pan in to plain sight there still was no steam coming from the pan.
Watch when Doc pours water into the pan to heat the babies' bottles. It appears his kettle is leaking!
When Doc goes into Matt's office after the babies' mother dies, Milburn Stone calls James Arness by his real name instead of his character's name. Doc very plainly says "hey Jim" instead of "hey Matt".
When Matt first returns to Dodge City after being in bed at the reservation several days, his face is badly bruised. The next day, though, when he goes to talk to Mr. Evans at the reservation, his face looks fine.
In this episode, Matt suffers a brutal beating from the guards on the Indian reservation. Every time he is seen afterwards, he is holding his left side and grimacing in pain. However, when Mr. Evans finally allows him to be treated, Doc bandages the ribs on his right side instead.
Matt claims never to have been to Zavala before, but in the episode "The Mission" from Season 12, he went to Zavala to trail the men who attacked him.
The big white guy gets a lot of time before the camera while wearing his business suit, but what's he there for?
Dillon gets a religious cross from Paco as a gift, but this goes against the character of Dillon.
There is no Gatling gun in this episode. The Gatling gun is in the episode "Morgan", very similar to this one and also starring Steve Forrest.
Before Festus and Newly are about to test the Gatlin Gun, when talking to Mannon, it looks as though there's a small bug on the lens in the right part of the screen. It's noticeable but not easy to see.
At the start of this episode Matt hands the sheriff a document that is dated June 12, 1875.
Just before Benji and Erlene find Matt, he has been staggering and falling for quite some time. He loses consciousness, falls on his face, does a somersault and ends up on his back. How did his hat stay on?
When Kitty and Matt are talking, there is a bad thunderstorm outside, and later Matt is shown riding in the pouring rain. Yet when Kitty goes outside the Longbranch and runs into the bounty hunter, there's not a sign of rain or thunder and lighning at all.
