Show Summary

Habla Y Habla is a documentary-type show which aired in 2006 on HBO. It was directed by Alberto Ferras, and is thirty minutes in length. The show focuses on Latino Americans and their specific opinions of what being a Latino in the United States means to them. Habla Y Habla interviews Spanish & English-speaking Latino Americans and gives real-life accounts and anecdotes of their day-to-day lives and experiences, revealing the little-heard aspects of Latino culture and its celebration in the United States. Through telling stories of Latino family life and the place of Latinos in American society, these individuals effectively describe the norms for Latino people in the United States, including subjects on growing up, friends, relationships, the law, and life. The characters found in these episodes are fantastic specimens of Latin culture and their accounts and experiences give insight into what it means to be a Latino in the United States.
