Episode Recap

It starts out with Laura in her room. She puts a pair of wings on Hamtaro and tells him to be Cupid. Hamtaro then meets with the other Ham-Hams in a tree and tells them that he's supposed to be Cupid. Boss tells him not to try and fly, after all, he could hurt himself. Bijou tells him that he's supposed to shoot arrows through peoples' hearts. Hamtaro says that sounds painful, but Bijou says she means arrows of love. The Ham-Hams watch Mr.Yoshi and Charlotte play baseball. Charlotte sees Hamtaro and thinks he's Cupid. She takes this as a sign that she and Mr.Yoshi should get married. Mr. Yoshi imagines Charlotte's father telling him that he has to spend some period of time with the chickens. He doesn't like that idea. Charlotte tells him that her father respects him for winning the chicken contest. Mr.Yoshi agrees that they should get married the following weekend. At the wedding we see Mimi's Dad, Dr. Lion, Travis, his mother, Mrs. Yoshi, Laura and her parents, Kana and her parents, June and Kylie. Forest starts crying and says that one day it will be Laura walking down the aisle, but that she'll always be his little girl. Kana's father does the same thing. June and Kylie stare with sweatdrops on their heads. Mr. Yoshi has a bit of trouble with his suit, but he gets it worked out thanks to a helpful magician. There's a problem though, Charlotte isn't yet at the wedding. The scene changes to Charlotte, who's at home in a barn trying to reason with her father. She says that she's thought long and hard about getting married to Mr. Yoshi. She says that she loves him with all his heart and wonders why he can't be happy for her. But he won't hear any of it. He snits that he's always given her everything she's wanted and this is how she repays him. He goes off, leaving her there in the barn. Boss and Hamtaro arrive and figure that he locked her in there. Charlotte decides to write a note to Mr. Yoshi. She needs to get him there because she doesn't want to go through with the wedding if her father won't approve of it. She writes the note and has some chickies deliver it. Hamtaro and Boss don't like this at all and don't trust the chickies to get the job done. So Hamtaro manages to wrestle the note away from the chickies and then takes off for the church where the wedding is being held on the back of a helpful parrot. Boss is left to watch over Charlotte. At the church, Mr. Yoshi is fretting over his attire and Charlotte's lateness. Then, Hamtaro arrives with the note. Mr. Yoshi takes Hamtaro to be Cupid. He reads the note and then starts hurrying off on his bike. At Mr. Yoshi's, Charlotte leaves the barn to try and do something about the situation. Mr. Yoshi arrives at Charlotte's, where the family attempts to stop him, but he barrels past with his bike. He ends up in the barn, where he's faced with a dangerous bunch of chickens. But then Boss informs Hamtaro that Charlotte is no longer in the barn and he gets Mr. Yoshi out of there. He finally meets up with Charlotte and her father watches on, saying that Mr. Yoshi shouldn't count his chickens before they're hatched. He pulls out his ultimate weapon, a giant chicken-like cannon. Hamtaro and Boss see this and decide it's enough. Hamtaro thinks it's gone too far. But it's Boss that decides to do something about it and he runs after it crazily with a fork. Hamtaro tries to stop him, warning that two wrongs don't make a right. But when something goes wrong with the cannon and it turns on Charlotte's Father, it's Mr. Yoshi that throws himself towards him to save him. The cannon goes off, but fortunately, everyone is okay and it turns out that there wasn't an actual cannonball in it anyway. It was just dirt! Charlotte's Father was just trying to scare Mr. Yoshi. He asks Mr. Yoshi why he thought it was worth saving him. Mr. Yoshi explains that he wants his blessing. He loves Charlotte and although he may not be a good chicken farmer, he thinks he's a great teacher. He wants to be a good husband, somebody be a father and he wants Charlotte's Father to be his father-in-law. Charlotte's Father is left there to contemplate this as Charlotte and Mr. Yoshi head off on horseback. They inform the wedding guests that they're going to have to postpone. They just don't want to go ahead with things without Charlotte's Father being there. But then, to their surprise, Charlotte's Father shows up. He says that no one is getting any younger and so they should have the wedding today. The ham-hams, all looking snappy, say to get ready to party. There's a photo snap of Mr. Yoshi and Charlotte and then the scene changes to Laura with the photo. She talks about how Mr. Yoshi and Charlotte said that they both saw Cupid and so they knew the wedding would work out. She thinks that it was a good day for a wedding and that tomorrow will be even better.
