Laura: All things considered, it turned out to be a pretty good day, didn't it Hamtaro? And tomorrow's going to be even better. Hamtaro: Heke.
Laura: (practicing piano fingering on her desk) So, what do you think? I'm pretty good, aren't I, Hamtaro? Hamtaro: Almost as good as me wailing on ham-guitar!
Laura's Dad: (sobbing) Our little pumpkin's run away and it's all my fault! Laura's Mom: Don't be silly, Forrest. We only asked for better grades. Laura's Dad: I'm too hard on her! I'm a monster! Laura's Mom: Honey, you need to get a hold of yourself. The whole neighborhood's looking for her. I'm sure we'll get a phone call soon. Laura's Dad: (calming down) Right, Mari. It's not like she's gone and joined the circus!
Maria: You stop outside my house sometimes. Why don't you just knock on my door? I'm not going to bite you, you know. Laura: You play so well, it made me nervous about meeting you.
Hamtaro: Let's hamscray, someone's coming!
Hamtaro: (after falling off the bus) Yuck! I'm taking the train next time!
Laura's Mom: Let's see, I wonder where she'd go? Laura's Dad: Hey, maybe she went to the library to study. ... Who am I kidding?
Hamtaro: I'm really worried, Boss. Her shoes didn't even match her outfit!
Howdy: Not that there's anything wrong with bright colored clothes and big hair, right Boss? (does an impression of him) Boss: All right, that's enough out of you!
Boss: I'm an expert on teenage psyche.
Laura: (on the effects of not having the CD player) I'll probably have to change schools!
Laura: I already told everybody! Do Mom and Dad want me to be crushed by embarrassment on Monday or what? Hamtaro: Ahhhh! Don't ask me! I'm staying out of this!
When Kana puts her head phones back on, she starts humming the same Glitter song that she performed with Laura, June and Kylie in "Pop Star."
When Laura exits the music store in this episode to follow Maria, there is a poster on the music store window that says "Hamtaro" and has a picture of him. Laura even seems to stare at it for a brief second and say "Huh?"
Laura's quiz in this episode is displayed on the screen briefly and it's in English, not Japanese. The instruction was to "Fill in the missing letter" and she got the words "constant," "treatment" and "leather" correct and at least three words: "recreation," "pikcture" and "eater" (?) incorrect. There seems to be a total of eight problems, although question seven is off the screen.
This episode marks the first time ever that Laura actually meets and talks to Maria, owner of the ham-ham sweetheart, Bijou.
