Episode Recap

Laura, Kana and their parents are going to a traveling amusement park that's come to town. Mimi's family is supposed to be coming too. Mimi has a new baby sister, Tina and Laura and Kana can't wait to meet her. But when Tina comes down with a fever, they decide that it would be best to stay home for the time being. They encourage Mimi to go anyway, she's getting to be a big girl now and she needs to be more independent. But Mimi doesn't want to, which means that Panda can't go either. So Laura and Kana go to the amusement park, with Hamtaro and Oxnard in tow. Their fathers and mothers are there too and as usual, their fathers find plenty of ways to argue with each other. Still, everyone has a great time at the amusement park, even though they chicken out on some of the rides they had planned to go on. Mimi's not there though, which puts something of a damper on things. On the ferris wheel, Oxnard's not too happy because he's afraid of heights. But then Hamtaro says that he thinks he can see the mountain that Pepper lives on from there and Oxnard immediately perks up. Mimi, at home, sits and mopes. She creates a picture in some dust of her entire family riding on the ferris wheel. Later on, at the clubhouse, Hamtaro and Oxnard excitedly share the details of their visit to the amusement park. As they're talking, Panda looks rather sad. Then Howdy and Dexter get into something of a comedy routine, although when Howdy suggests that they should do standup together, Dexter tells him "Enough already!" The Ham-Hams all look rather exhausted from their ridiculous routine. Then, Panda bursts. He says that "he hates it." He hates the "dumb amusement park." They soon learn that he's upset that he and Mimi, but mostly Mimi weren't able to go. He knows how sad Mimi is. They decide that there's a solution: they'll show Mimi their Ham-Ham fun park! They all work hard, getting it ready. It's a long project, but at the end, it's looking great. Later, at home, Hamtaro's positively exhausted. Then, Laura says that a storm is coming. Hamtaro doesn't understand what a storm is and is worried that they're inviting him over for dinner or something. He does, however, see that the weather is getting bad. He decides to sneak out and check on the Ham-Ham fun park. When he gets there, he sees the other hamsters had the same idea. They all try to save it, but the wind and the rain are too strong. The place ends up completely totaled. Still, Panda vows not give up. He says that one of these days, Mimi is going to see an amusement park. That night, Laura notes that the amusement park is still in town. Maybe she'll try inviting Mimi again. Hamtaro consoles himself, saying that at least the bad weather chased the storm away. He thinks there still could be a way to give Mimi a ride on the ferris wheel if he and the Ham-Hams all work together.
