Hamtaro

This used to be my favorite show when I was 8.It's adorable and great for the family.It was such a creative little show perfect for young children at the ages of 3 to 8 years old.

This show used to be my favorite show when I was eight! Five years later, I found some old Hamtaro videos I used to have. I watched those episodes along with several others on the internet and I remembered how much I loved Hamtaro. All of the characters on the show are awesome in their own ways. Hamtaro is so fun to hang out with, Oxnard is the hungry/kinda slow character that every show has, Boss is the leader, Bijou likes Hamtaro and is always fun to watch, Howdy and Dexter are always fun to watch argue, Pashmina is really kind and caring, Penelope is adorable, Maxwell is really smart, Sandy is really athletic, Stan is a flirt and it is fun to watch him try to get the girls, Panda is a creative genius, Cappy is kind of spoiled but knows knows how to have fun, and Snoozer always gives some words of wisdom, even when he's asleep. Wow, that was a long sentence! I have to give this show an A+!

One of the best, no the best show for little kids in my view. Its not educational but when I have kids I will have them watch this show. Its better then whats on Nick JR. LOL I sound like a kid just writing this down. I still remember most of the characters like Oxnard and Maxwell and the girl that likes hamtaro i think is bijou i hope i spelled it right. Anyways I hope those who were born in the early 90's Get what i mean. Anyone born after 95 is skewed. No one now a days knows what good tv is anymore.

I used to watch this all the time when I was in kindergarten. Every day I would come home to watch this and Sailor Moon. Then one day it just disappeared off the face of the earth. (Well that's not entirely true - it's still very well known in Japan, where it originated.) What happened to Hamtaro? I don't understand. As far as I know it was pretty popular among my crowd - in fact, nearly every kid in my morning kindergarten class loved this show. So where did it go? It's just like what happened to Sailor Moon, which is another anime I loved then and still love now. I can't believe it's gone! It's such an adorable show - even my little brother enjoys them, and he's the same age now as I was back when it first premiered! This is another perfect example of why CN sucks these days.

I found this show to be more for girls, I don't know why I would even try it in the first place then! Yeah it was cute, but for some reason I never understood anime, it always used to confuse me, even to this day. So what we got here is hamsters that go on adventures, that's pretty much it! :P I'm not saying I hate this show, it had some neat episodes, I'm not a fan of it though. I don't think there's anything else to say about this show, that's pretty much it. I'm going to give it a C-.

Now, in a review about Sailor Moon, I did explained that I've first seen it on Cartoon Network back in June 2002.



I've also seen a small dose of Hamtaro as well. It was also amazing. Sure it didn't have the extreme action Sailor Moon, Pokemon and Digimon had. But that's all right. This is a childrens show. And it is an improvement of Cartoon Network to me.



The animation for this show is outstanding. Similar to Cardcaptor Sakura. The human characters are really great. But this is not a human anime, since it focuses mostly on hamsters. Now the adventures they have are really cool and toddler style. But that's okay.



Now I have seen it a little back in 2002 and 2003. But I haven't seen it again after that. Thankfully, I went onto a Hamtaro fansite back in early 2007 and I became hooked onto Hamtaro once again. The next year, I began watching the episode again, thanks to another fansite. Whether they are English, Japanese or some other version, Hamtaro will be cool. And it's a decent anime for children of all ages. Very rare. Although I now think PBS kids or Qubo would be sutiable for Hamtaro. The English version.

This show is about a girl named Laura, she owns a pet hamster named Hamtaro. Hamtaro doesn't like staying in his cage for long because of boredom so he gets out and starts to meet new hamsters and this means that he is friends with them. There are 15 hamsters in this show which are Hamtaro, Bijou, Boss, Oxnard, Pashmina, Penelope, Maxwell, Sandy, Stan, Howdy, Snoozer, Dexter, Cappy, Panda, and Jingle. What I like about the show is that it is adventurous and it gets interesting in some parts in the episodes. In every episode, the Ham-Ham gang go on a adventure but sometimes not all of the hamsters appear for some unknown reason.



Overall, this is a great anime show, I would reccommend this show to anyone, especially anime fans and hamster fans. Too bad, this show is not airing in Cartoon Network anymore due to low ratings but this show doesn't deserve low ratings because the creators were trying their best to make the show a little more better each episode. So if you haven't seen this show, then you can try to find the episodes of this show online because I don't think that this show won't show up on Cartoon Network anymore, its sad but anyways this ends my review.

cartoon network should bring this show back!! i thought it was a really cute show. Hamtaro was my fav ham ham. Hamtaro and Bijou look really cute together. all the plots are fabulous! it should've lasted longer than a year. it didnt deserve to get cancelled so soon. i loved this show so much that i have plushies of hamtaro and bijou. i also hav a game of this show too. cartoon network made a HUGE mistake by takin Hamtaro off their channel. i wanna watch this show again so badly:( right now the only shows savin CN are: Chowder, flapjack,& total drama island.

I love Hamtaro! It is yet another good show that Cartoon Network desperately needs to get back. It is a good show, with some special plots and the show's idea is different from a lot of other shows. This is my kind of show! What I'm saying is that this show is about the only one I've heard of and seen that is based on talking ADORABLE Hamsters! Cute little rodents that communicate and interact with each other and make plans and parties in their hideout is what makes this show more entertaining! I also like the female humans too! The main character is sweet and my kind of character! I love the parts when she tries and figure out what to do with her friends and what plan they make is the best choice! It is a good show that teaches some good things and sets good examples. It is a type of intelligent show with no stupidity at all, which is very good! So again, this is a cute show that is on my favorite shows list! Cute little animals and nice humans are in this show, I can't wait to see it again! I miss the past years when this show was on the air and I sat down and got comfortable and watched great episodes in this wonderful and cute show!

This show was awesome! I loved watching it! Hamtaro was such a great show, but sadly they had to take it off!!=P I used to watch it right before I went to school every morning! I have so many things for the show, but now it's like you can't find anything hamtaro anymore! I'm sure a lot of people would watch it if it was back on Tv!!! Ok, some people might think talking hamsters are weird, but how cool is that!! Their all soo cute and sometimes really funny!! I'd watch it everyday if you guys brought it back!!!!!! Please?!!=D ^-^

Talking hamsters. Yea, so it can't really happen. But it was a cute show! Even though the last episode was like 4 years ago, they should atleast think about bringing it back. I didn't really know alot about the show, but I was catching on. Not only am I sad about its cancelling, but I'm sure many others are. I mean, who wouldn't like cute, talking hamsters? Have you seen them? So cute! There isn't another show like it. It's all humans and stuff. All us Hamtaro fans are asking is to brinng back the hamsters!! Uh, yea, I'm done now x]

Bring it back YTV D: I used to watch the show at noon. What caught my attention was the graphics. Hamtaro was so cute I wanted to watch the anime and it kind of made me want a hamster. The opening and ending theme songs are catchy to sing along to. I also have the game boy color game for this (Ham Hams Unite!) and it is good. Bijou and Hamtaro look cute together. This is a great anime show with no violence or inappropriate stuff targeted for young children (5 to 8?). Anyone can enjoy it as well ^^

I REALLY miss this show! I have not seen Hamtaro, Oxnard, Boss, Bijou, Sandy, Stan, Snoozer, Pashmina, Penelope, Maxwell, Howdy, Dexter, Cappy, Panda, Elder Ham, Auntie Viv, Pepper, and Jingle in more than 5 years! 5 long, it's Hamtaro time, ticki ticki, ookwee, sunflower seed famine years. I think this is one of the shows that will bring Cartoon Network out of the dark ages. I always watched this show back when it was on CN in 2002-03. When it ended, I was upset. Even now, 5 years later I'm still upset at CN for removing the Ham-Hams from the show line-up. The DVD's are hard to find. They only have the first season. There's more than just the first season. I just wish that Cartoon Network would put this show back on TV, and remove all of the bad shows like Squirrel Boy, George of the Jungle, Out of Jimmy's Head, Chop Socky Chooks, and The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack if it gets bad ratings. Scooby Doo, and Tom and Jerry should be on Boomerang, not Cartoon Network. PLEASE Cartoon Network, I and probably alot of other people want Hamtaro back on TV!

I used to watch this every day on Cartoon Network. This is a 'kids' show, but the episodes were engaging enough for all ages. Hamtaro is possibly the cutest character in all of history, and every episode is a unique challenge or adventure. Even so, every episode is connected to the past one with an underlying plotline, which every great TV show needs. There's not much I can say other than, if you have never watched it or never gave it a chance, go track down one of the season 1 DVDs and try it out. I'm not sure if it's still running in Japan, but this show NEEDS to be resurrected in the US. Or at the very least, DVDs of all the seasons that were broadcast, and preferably DVDs of all the Japanese-only seasons with English subtitles.

I LOVE this show. Cartoon Network are douchebags for canceling the show. First Sailor Moon, now Hamtaro! I mean this show was one of the cutest anime animal shows I ever seen. Hamsters go and play while their owners were gone.

Hamtaro has such cute friends as main characters. And the tree house they played in. The cutest little theme song.My favorite character is Penelope. It teaches you lessons in each episodes. Or were the lessons implied? I hadn't remembered one episode cause Cartoon Network canceled! God, CN is always canceling the good shows. Well anyway I highly recommend this show.

I remember this show! I thought it was pretty amazing on how the hamsters just went on adventures and such. It was one of my favorite shows when it came out, but then the last time I ever remember seeing it was in 2003. I don't even remember seeing it once in CN.



Some parts I thought were good on the show included the fact it was a good reason to wake up at 6 in the morning, Penelope sounded like she was saying "**** you!", and the hamsters were so cute. I wasn't really too aware about Cartoon Network's mistakes, but I really wanted to go back and see Hamtaro again.

If you read My Baby Looney Tunes review than you already know people are making a big deal out of it, beacuse they think there cute, realy there BUTT-UGLY.



& I also said that Hamtaro was the realy cute so & Boomerang refuse to re-run it beacause people think Baby looney Tunes are Cuter, but realy it Hamtaro



Hamtaro has such cute Hamsters as main charter & he's own by Laura from japan & have daily adventures many of the voice-actor are getting nasty arter the big unforgivable booting of Hamtaro, IYF the most cutest show next to Catscrach, Kirby: Right Back at Ya! & other shows I like.

I've been a fan of the underapperiated anime for a long time. And down the road I have never seen better work from them then the work that is "Hamtaro".



The show is about a hamster (a.ka. Ham-Ham) who has adventures in japan. voiced by Chiarra Zanni who now voices Pintuna from baby looney Tunes. His friends oxnard, an overweight Ham-Ham and Bejou, a france Ham-Ham help him through his life. While others, Dexter & Maxwell, don't help a bit.



Sounds strange right? Sounds like ANY other anime right? I think not.



The show has a different type of humor. With some adult references thrown in as well that are rather shocking for a childens show. The animal humor is used in many kooky and hilarious ways. And although sometimes they can seem stupid, lines are repeated from episode to episode. And every now and then these lines are given a 180 degree twist of humor. While the mucas jokes could be settled down, the humor isn't very slapstick and is cartoonish witty humor at its best. Sure it's offbeat, innappropite and as I said is more of an adult show then a kids show (humor wise, not content wise) it's still very funny.



And when the show isn't funny it shines with charm. The characters are very easy to get behind and it flows like a sitcom. It has its dud episodes with good jokes wrapped into a bad plot, but overall the show is very charming. The characters have their own catch phrases and traditions which all give twists. Even when the show has run out of twists they add even more to thrill the viewing audiance into laughter.



Hamtaro is an excellent example of the beginning of the adult cartoon era. It was made in 2002 and I believe it set the stage for more grown up cartoons like "Disney's House of Mouse", "Mucha Lucha" and "Chalkzone". Sure Sonic X helped much. But Hamtaro wasn't a stupid move. It shouldn't have gone on any other network. It was a bold move by CN. And that bravery and boldness, led to Hamtaro. One of the best animated series to come around yet.



SERIES GRADE: A

This show was one of the coolest and funnest of my time. It was about a girl named Laura and her pet hamster, Hamtaro, who, when Laura's gone, goes with his other hamster friends and has adventures with them. They always ate sunflower seeds!! There were like a whole million characters on the show, that I can't even remember their names! The only ones I can remember are Laura, Hamtaro, and Bijou!!! Oh, yeah, I also remember Snoozer, Penelope, Maxwell, Oxnard, Sandy, and some others!! This show was soo cool! But then Cartoon Network had to take it off the air! Because they don't know better! I hope they put it back on the air soon!

This show was awesome. Hamtaro was so CUTE!! All of them were so cute!! Especially Cappy, he was cool with his little hat. And stucky, who was stuck in his little pipe. But I love hamtaro mostly because of its cuteness. But some of the storylines were so cute, however they were a little redundant with other storylines. But other than that, it was awesome!!! I had every single Hamtaro item I could find at the store, Hamtaro House, almost each character, videos, stuff animals, coloring books, EVERYTHING!! I wish they could keep this cute show up more, but it was good while it lasted.

I grant I never actually sat down and watched a full episode, but the thirty minutes of so a month that I watched it, I had to admit that it was the cutest show ever. All my friends memorized the Ham-Ham song (or was it a dance?) and would always go prancing around the school singing it. The animation is so simple, yet so adorable. I recently got a pet hamster, and I would have named him Hamtaro, if it wasn't for his lack of cute-ness for the amazing character. No hamster can be as wonderful as Hamtaro; that's a fact.

Its very funny its alright its about a hamster named hamtaro who always gets into trouble and is pet Laura and goes out with other hamsters doing adventures stuff its very funny and hilarios this rocks its sad that most people dont like it because its childish and has no voilencebut im not really fan of that stuff I wish Cartoon Network or japan never cancelled it.

Hamtaro is an anime about a hampster moving into a new neighbourhood with his owner Laura Haruna who is 10. Hamtaro snuck out of his house where he met his best friend Oxnard, then they crashed through the hollow ground into a tunnel that leads to Boss' home. There Hamtaro and Oxnard learn about another hampster named Bijou who Boss is in love with.

The next day, Hamtaro meets a few more hampsters, Pashmina who takes care of a baby hampster named Penelope and Howdy and Dexter who combat for Pashmina's love. The hampsters enter Boss' home where they clean it and decide to make it a clubhouse for them to hang out, during this, they find a hampster sleeping in a sock who Boss decides to call Snoozer.

The next day, Hamtaro goes to meet his friends at the clubhouse where he meets Maxwell who loves reading, Panda who loves building and dreams of being a carpenter, Sandy who loves gymnastics and swings a ribbon around and Cappy who loves to wear hats.

With these new friends, Hamtaro has fun and meets other hampsters such as Bijou (who later joins the clubhouse), Jingle who plays a guitar and speaks in rhymes and Stan who is Sandy's long lost brother.



I am 16 and love this show, since its not on anymore I buy DVD's of it. This show should come back onto tv, if other anime like Pokemon (which hasn't been very popular for years) can continue, then why can't this, even atleast show repeats of this.

Hamtaro is another best anime round, seeing that it's off the made move on to "Kirby: Right Back at Ya!", the episode was realy origenal, voices are superbed, & other anime are going down hill as well [Sonic X, Shaman King, Cormartie High School, Colorful, Abenobashi, S-Cry-ed] al thanks to CatDog, Chalkzone, G.I. Joe, Cybertron & House of Mouse



they should be cancelled

I used to watch it until they switched the airing time so that it would be over by the time I got home from school. And then they cancelled it, which also sucks. I read the episode descriptions of what I missed and it didn't seem to impress me at all. I still would've liked to see it, though. Dexter's my favorite. Sandy and Maxwell 4Ever!

Who wouldn't love a show about cute little hampsters. They go on there sweet and cute little adventures it fills me with joy to whatch these little guys play. This show is heart warming and lots of fun. Who ever created this show put alot of imagination into it. I think the person who created the show should get an award for cutiest cartoon on earth. Sure theres other shows with cute little animals but there nothing like Hamtaro. These animals aren't only cute they go on adventures that are cute but also thrilling. This show deserves five thumbs up.

Hamtaro is about a hamster named Hamtaro.In Hamtaro these hamsters escape from their cages at their house and go to the Ham-Ham clubhouse when their owners are not home.Hamtaro is sort-of like the leader of the Ham-Hams. His best friend is Oxnard. Their owners, Laura and Kana are also best friends. It’s in the first episode in which these guys meet. Well most of the hamsters are really cute. My favourite hamsters would be Hamtaro, Cappy and Bijou. I don't really like the humans that much. I mean I really hate Laura. She is so annoying. I don't like Kana that much but she's better than Laura I guess. I really don't like Travis nor do I like Roberto and all the other people are dumb including these peoples' parents and teachers and that Charlotte girl(I think that's her name).The hamsters are okay though. Some of them are but the ones that I don't really like are Boss, Howdy, Jingle, that old elder hamster and Pepper. I don't like Oxnard that much either but he is kind of cute. I like Stan because he's funny and I also like Sandy. Penelope is cute and Pashmina and Dexter are okay.Hamtaro (the show) is also okay.It's kind of boring. But can be real cute.

This being on Toonami when I saw it's premire and how Cartoon Network made is sound, I thought this was going to be an action show. Nope, it's not, but for once, I didn't care, this show was too cute and funny not to like. I watched this show a lot and enjoyed it more then I ever thought I would, I started buying DVDs, I bought toys, I bought ever such. Okay, I was being brought in by the money thing, but it was worth it XP. I don't understand why it was cancelled. There is still a lot left to show from Japan, plus why the Birthday OVA was heavily edited I will never know. Please VIZ Media, release more DVDs soon, I miss this show.



If you are reading my words, I would recommend this show for many people, it's cute, funny and good for all ages.

I miss the show why did the creature tack it away. . .anyway i just can get over the fact that is is gone so. . . This show was about hamsters that would go on adventures everyday while their owners were not there and that is all.
