Laura: I'm so happy for Mr. Yoshi. What I can't figure out is how Charlotte's address got onto the letter from Mr. Yoshi's mother. Hamtaro: Yeah, that is strange, isn't it? Laura: I guess it was just meant to be. Today was a great day, especially for Mr. Yoshi. I bet tomorrow will be even better. What do you say to that? Hamtaro: Heke.
Hamtaro: I guess it's a happy ending.
Chairman Rooster: (to Mr. Yoshi) Are you trying to set a record as our most annoying intruder?
Mr. Yoshi: I did it. I rescued the chicky chickies. ... I can't swim.
Boss: (his romantic advice for Mr. Yoshi) Tell her she has big teeth! Chairman Rooster: (to Mr. Yoshi) Ungrateful boy. I give you the courtesy of inviting you to my house to meet my daughter (who you don't deserve) and then to top it off, you get here late.
Pashmina: They have to make googly faces at each other to show how much they care about each other. Bijou: And they know right away that they were meant to be together forever. Sandy and Pashmina: And then they get married and live happily ever after.
Boss: We did it. Bijou: The love story continues. Hamtaro: I wonder what Charlotte's father will have to say.
Bijou: She was meant for Mr. Yoshi! Hamtaro: Are you sure about that? Boss: Of course she's sure, she's from France.
Chairman Rooster: Chad Kensington Baldwin III will soon own the country's third largest frozen food distributor. You should meet the boy at least.
Charlotte: I've already started applying to schools because I'm gonig to become a veterinarian. Chairman Rooster: A veterinarian? Not this again. I've had it.
Hamtaro: (regarding Chairman Rooster) This meanie is her father?
Hamtaro: We're the ham-hams. I wonder if you could help us out. Howdy: Forget it. These are barn animals. They're not explorer animals like we are. They won't know anything. Let's keep looking. Perhaps we can find intelligent life somewhere else. Ham-hams: (groan) Oxnard: Explorer animals? That sounds dangerous.
Bijou: (regarding Charlotte) Oh my. What a lovely name. Hamtaro: Yeah, it suits her.
Boss: Perfect love story. Howdy: Sounds like a recipe for disaster, if you ask me.
Mr. Yoshi: (regarding Charlotte) Ahhh. Talk about a girl who knows how to handle a chicken...
Mr. Yoshi: (to Travis) It's not nice to tease your teacher.
End-of-episode promo: "Ham-Ham Clubhouse In Danger"
Charlotte's letter to Mr. Yoshi at the end of the episode is entirely in Japanese characters. However, some other things in the episode, such as Mr. Yoshi's name on the letter from his Mom and the sign hanging above the gate at Charlotte's place (which read "The Roosters") were in English.
Mr. Yoshi's first name is revaled for the first time in this episode. It's Phillip, or Phil for short.
When Boss skeptically repeats the girl hams' wistful cry of "perfect love story," a ghostly fish swims by, complete with watery sound effects. This is a pun on Japanese koi. Koi are Japanese carp, but koi is also a Japanese word for "love."
This episode marks the beginning of a long continuuing plotline, which finally culminates in the late second season episode, "How to Rescue a Wedding."
This episode also appears in online listings as "Romancing the Rooster" and the "The Romantic Setup."
