When the girls and their mothers are preparing the food, at one point the mothers are closer together than before.
During the show, the hamster's ears on Conrad's shirt change from long to short.
During the cooking contest, the fathers are supposed to support their own daughter. But at one point, you hear Conrad say "This is great, Laura!"
Kana: You know what your gonna make for the picnic? Laura: You bet your booties!
Howdy: (regarding Bijou) What planet is this Ham-girl from? Boss: Planet France, that's where!
Laura: I had a great day today. Didn't you? You know what? Tomorrow's going to be even better. Don't you think? Hamtaro: Heke.
Maria: (after seeing the flower fall) I'm seeing things. I'd better go lie down again for a while.
Maria: Huh? That flower fell and now it's going back up the tree again? Bijou: (thinking) It's a magic ham-flower!
Oxnard: Are we there yet? My paws are sore and we haven't had a snack for at least five minutes!
Kana's Mom: Mother was right. I shouldn't have gone on that second date.
Howdy: Help, help, I think I'm going to slip! Boss: Use your teeth, that's what they're there for!
Hamtaro: (referring to the theme song) If you ask me, this tree likes our song. The tree is singing along with us!
Pashmina: (regarding the theme song) I love this song. It makes me feel like dancing!
Howdy: Am I hilarious, or what? Hee, hee, hee, hee... (Some of the other ham-hams feign laughter)
Laura: It's a cherry tree all right, but it's not in bloom. Laura's Father: Oh yeah. I had noticed. Kana's Father: Don't feel bad, Forrest. Anyone could have made the mistake... maybe not anyone. (slapping him on the back) But we won't hold it against ya'!
Howdy: Cherry blossoms have a way of tip-toeing off the trees as fast as they get there.
Howdy goes on the picnic with the gang, but Dexter doesn't appear in this episode. It is extremely rare for one of them to appear in an episode without the other.
Two kids in the foreground can be heard singing the theme when the hamsters walk towards the tree.
There's another performance of the Hamtaro main title theme. Laura, Kana and their family seem to know the lyrics to the song and the Ham-hams join in to sing along.
