Laura is heading to school. Only, she's not going to class, instead, it's a Saturday and her school is holding a pet day. She and Travis are also supposed to be helping Mr. Yoshi with the feeding of the school chickens. Hamtaro is coming along with her. He's been to the school before, but this is the first time he's actually coming along officially, in his carrier. When he gets there, everyone makes something of a fuss about him and how cute he is. Hamtaro loves the attention, but Oxnard is also there and he doesn't like the attention at all. He says he can't eat when everyone is staring at him. Then, someone's frog jumps and lands on Kana's foot. It scares Kana, but Mr. Yoshi is there and he scoops it up. He admires the frog's big croaking voice and gives this big speech about all the different animals being special. His speech seems to work well with Laura, who agrees that every animal deserves special treatment. Meanwhile, the ham-ham gang has shown up. Boss, Penelope and Howdy get themselves in a bit of a quandary, ending up in a pail of chicken feed. Hamtaro and Oxnard escape from their holders to rescue them. They manage to save them, but Oxnard ends up following some corn and ends up in a pen. There, he's trapped in with the chickens. Hamtaro goes in after him and they both end up hiding under a metal pan. Meanwhile, Mr. Yoshi is outside trying to get Laura and/or Travis to feed the chickens for him. He breaks down and admits to Laura that the chickens scare him. So when it's his turn to feed them, he has to get someone else to do it. In the pen, Oxnard and Hamtaro make a daring escape. However, when Oxnard notices some more corn, he goes after it instead of leaving the pen. The chickens then come after him and he ends up going stiff, leaving the ham-hams to drag him away. The chickens then start chasing after the ham-hams. Mr. Yoshi attempts to stop them, but when he sees their big, beady eyes, he panics. The chickens take the ham-hams on a tear through the town. As Mr. Yoshi and his class chase after him, Mr. Yoshi bumps into a young woman and ends up knocking down her in her groceries. He stops to put her groceries back in her bag and then hurries on, accidentally grabbing her hat and placing it on his head in the process. Meanwhile, the ham-hams figure out that the chickens are after Oxnard's corn. They try to pry it away from him, but he's clutched onto it tightly and is out cold, so there's no way to get it away from him. Some of the ham-hams are chased to a park area, where they play a tense game of hide-and-seek with the chickens. Eventually, the rest of the ham-hams show up using an alligator costume as a distraction. Mr. Yoshi and his class eventually show up. Mr. Yoshi tries to get control of the chickens, but they charge and he gets scared again. Then, the girl from earlier shows up. She reclaims her hat and says that she can handle the chickens. She uses a red bandana to hypnotize them and puts them all into a trance. She says that she's been studying techniques like that. Mr. Yoshi is very impressed with her. Then, she leaves, without even giving her name. We see her getting into a limousine and then driving off. Mr. Yoshi thinks that maybe next time he'll be able to feed the chickens, now that he's learned some new techniques, although he's still afraid. That evening, Laura reflects on the day's events and how they never even found out the girls' name. She tells Hamtaro he's lucky that he's never met a chicken. Hamtaro just giggles.moreless
