Laura is just arriving home and Hamtaro couldn't be more happy. He's been waiting for her to play with him all day. He has all sorts of games in mind, but Laura brings out a book. Hamtaro says that he's game for a book. Laura's book is some kind of mythical tale about knights and stuff, but she's having trouble staying awake. Hamtaro suggests that she skip to the brave hamster part. The two of them both fall asleep and go into a dream sequence. In this dream, Laura is the ruler of a Ham Ham Kingdom. She's known as Princess Laura. She addresses her subjects and says that she'll her the daily news of the Kingdom. Stan, who is some sort of pompous knight, presents her with his glorified report. He calls himself her "most chivalrous knight," leading Dexter to make a snide comment. After this, Princess Laura sees a star in the sky. She makes a wish on it that the Ham Ham Kingdom will stay happy and bright. Oddly though, the star starts glowing a bright red. Elder Ham shows up and says that the star glowing red is a bad sign. He predicts all sorts of bad things happening to the kingdom. Stan says that the "Knights of the Ham Team" will "save the day." Elder Ham is pressed for more information, but he ends up dozing off as he is prone too. Elsewhere, Hamtaro is wandering lost. He says that he's lost Brandy and run out of water. Worse, his cape is too tight. He can't go on and is about to pass out. But then, Bijou and Oxnard show up and rescue him. They give him sunflower seeds, perking him back up. They take him to the Ham Ham Kingdom, thinking that he may be the brave knight who will save them from the oncoming calamity. Hamtaro tells them that he'll help, but he only has twenty minutes to do it. Any more and he'll have to charge overtime. He's presented before Princess Laura and is told by Elder Ham to pay his respects. He does, but also expresses that he's not really sure how to save the kingdom. Just then, Jingle shows up, in his usual form. His poetry impresses the ham-hams, including Elder Ham, who says that he's the chosen one. He decides that since Jingle is the hero, that must mean that Hamtaro is the villain. He throws Hamtaro in the dungeon. Outside, we see Boss as a giant menace threatening the kingdom. He says that he wants to take it over and claim for his own. Jingle ends up splitting out of the kingdom, while Hamtaro is in the dungeon. Oxnard and Bijou free him and they even get some advice from Snoozer. Back in the main floor of the palace, Elder Ham reports Jingle's leaving and shows a note that he left - "Good luck," signed Jingle. Hamtaro comes and prepares to face Boss. But Boss has evil wizard powers and is oblivous to Hamtaro's attacks. Hamtaro has Brandy on his side as a flying dog, but even this doesn't seem to be enough to help him. Boss uses some kind of ice breath to knock them both to the ground. In the end, Laura wishes on the star for help and Hamtaro receives a mythical sword (Excalibur?) which he uses to defeat Boss. Boss is reduced to his normal form, apologizing. Elder Ham cheers Hamtaro on, as do the ham-hams. Afterwards, Laura and Hamtaro wake up, just as Laura's Mom is coming into her room. In the dreamlike state, they both think she's the evil wizard Boss and say so, leading Laura's Mom to wonder what's wrong. She says Laura looks like she saw a ghost. That night, Laura reflects on the weird dream she had. She wishes Hamtaro good night and Hamtaro does the same, calling her "Princess Laura."moreless
