Laura: Today was a funtastic day. I bet tomorrow's going to be even better. Don't ya' think, Hamtaro? Hamtaro: (giggles)
Boss: The girls play detective and bandit even better than the boys. Bijou: We were only living up to the women of history!
Howdy: I was a bad guy again! I never get the girl! Stan: I was the horse's head! Panda: Better than me! Cappy: I was an extra!
Hamtaro: I'm not sure how we ended up in seventeeth-century France. But we have to catch the little bandits.
Kana: Not only do we have to read a novel, but we have to write an essay about it too. I guess comic books don't count.
Hamtaro: I am super-detective Hamtaro.
Sandy: They said girls aren't allowed to play because bandits have always been boys. I don't care about history. Join the 21st century, guys, girls can do anything!
Howdy: (regarding Panda's performance) That introduction was so flat we'd better call you Le Pancake! If you're a bandit you'll have to create more pandemonium!
Hamtaro: (regarding the Little Bandits) They seem sweet and innocent, but they're notorious thieves.
Capitan: I surrender. Maxwell: Goodness gracious. Get a hold of yourself.
Count Jokester: I'm good. The jokes keep rolling off my tongue.
Count Jokester: Fell for thieves. Get it? Thieves: Just like French for "girls."
Dexter: (regarding Count Jokester's jokes) If we laugh, will it encourage him or make him stop?
Hamtaro: They got away again. I can't believe it. I'm a bad, bad detective.
Sandy: Even cool girls can appreciate fine jewelry.
Bijou: I am the queen of this hand and I am going to royally flush the joker out of the game. Your deal!
Count Jokester: These birds are very beakcoming. Get it?! "Beakcoming."
Count Jokester: I'll have my cake and eat it. Whose finger got into my pie?
Count Jokester: (to Lady Lauralina) You'll live here and be the "jewel in my crown," in a manner of speaking.
Laura: En garde, Little Bandits! Kana: Who are they? Characters in your book?
Count Jokester: I just laughed at your joke. My hands are down. You beat me.
Bijou's Little Bandit name, "Ribbon", is her actual name in the original Japanese version of the show.
New opening sequence immediately following the original opening sequence. The new opening features a brand new theme song sung by a female vocalist, scenes from some of the second season episodes and an updated copyright date. (2000, 2002) Check out an MP3 of this song here, courtesy Pikachu1. This theme was and is being used for all second-season episodes on Canada's YTV and in other markets as well.
End-of-episode promo: "The New Year's Kite Adventure"
The names and presentation of the Little Bandits at the end of the episode seemes reminiscent of the four ghosts in the classic arcade game Pacman: Inky, Blinky, Pinky and Clyde. In fact, Pashmina calls herself Pinky.
