Laura has landed the starring role in the class presentation of "Cinderella" and is very excited. Her parents are happy for her too, in fact, they're ecstatic. Her Dad says that they should get her an agent. Laura goes upstairs and happily tells Hamtaro about her role. Hamtaro, however, has no idea what "Cinderella" is. Laura reads to him from "Cinderella," but he still doesn't get it. Laura gets to work practicing and Hamtaro voices over that for the next two weeks, Laura spent a lot of time talking to herself. Hamtaro sees that the "Cinderella" play is very important to Laura, so he decides to ask the ham-hams if they have any idea what a "Cinderella" is. He tells them all about it and Boss doesn't seem to know. Neither do Maxwell or Dexter. Howdy acts like he does, but it turns out to just be one of his jokes. Hamtaro talks about how he heard Laura mention a pumpkin and they get to thinking that maybe pie is also involved. Then the ham-hams come across Jingle and think that maybe he might know. But instead, he just rambles on about apples and pumpkins seeds and pumpkin coaches. At times, it seems like he's talking about "Snow White" or "Sleeping Beauty," or just about anything other than "Cinderella." In any case, after talking to him, the ham-ham still don't really know anything more about "Cinderella" than before. The time comes of the day of the play. And immediately something goes wrong: Laura gets up late. She looks at her clock and decides that if she rushes, then she should be able to get to school on time. She bolts out the door, making some kind of comment about how it's too bad Hamtaro can't see her. Hamtaro says to himself that she'll do great and shouldn't need her help. Then, he sees that she left one of her glass slippers behind and thinks twice. At she school, Mr. Yoshi is talking about how his life will be over if Laura messes up the play. Speaking of things that are messed up, in the audience, Laura's Dad realizes that he wore a sock for a tie! Laura's Mom is there with him, holding up a sign that says "Go Laura." Back on stage, Laura realizes that she's missing the glass slipper. She cries out "why me?!" Mr. Yoshi can't believe that she left it at home, but decides to take action. They'll just have to make her a new glass slipper. Unfortunately, his plan is as flimsy as what he wants to make the new slipper out of - a flip-flop / sandal. As he's working on that, Hamtaro is in action. He takes the glass slipper to the clubhouse and tells the ham-hams about the problem. They head off for the school, but when they get there, they can't figure out how to get in without being seen. They decide to follow Jingle, who has tagged along in search of the pumpkin coach. They take what Jingle thinks is a shortcut, but instead it leads them straight to the school's pet chickens. They end up in a wild chase to escape from the chickens. In the end, they finally escape, but then Jingle releases the latch to their pen, thinking that it'll lead him to the pumpkin coach. Instead, it sets the chickens on the loose. The chickens chase the ham-hams all throughout the school. The ham-hams finally manage to lose them, but now they themselves are lost. Jingle finds the pumpkin coach, but ends up falling into a box of costume material. He finds Hamtaro and the ham-hams and scares off the chickens. The ham-hams head for the stage. On stage, Mr. Yoshi gives Laura the modified sandal. But it ends up breaking and Mr. Yoshi is worried everything is ruined. Fortunately, the ham-hams manage to get the slipper to Laura in time. The play goes off without a hitch and the ham-hams finally learn what "Cinderella" is. That evening, Jingle sticks around checks out the pumpkin coach. Laura's parents are impressed with her performance. Her Dad says they should get her three agents. That evening, Laura says that she's not sure she wants to make a career out of acting, but it was fun.moreless
