It's the morning of Valentine's Day and Laura has two boxes of chocolate. She tells her Mom that she's giving one to her Dad, but her Mom wonders who the other one is for. The answer is, of course, Travis, but Laura just tells her Mom that it's "nobody special." Nobody that she would know. Meanwhile, the female ham-hams are out and about in the park, talking about what kind of gifts they should make for Valentine's Day. Sandy thinks that Maxwell would like her gift no matter what she made. This leads to a little friendly "Sandy and Maxwell sitting in a tree" teasing. Then, Auntie Viv shows up. The female ham-hams hope she can help them make gifts, but she says she actually needs some help herself. She emphasizes the need for secrecy: she doesn't want the boy ham-hams to know about this and she's not telling the girls just who this gift is for either. In the clubhouse, the boys are also discussing Valentine's Day. Howdy says that he would waste his "hard-earned money" to give a present to a girl, a comment that quickly gets him busted by Dexter. Boss comments that there's more to Valentine's Day than just giving presents. Back outside, the female ham-hams are giving Auntie Viv a makeover. She wants to know if her eyebrows look okay and says that her present could use some "pizazz." Bijou thinks she can help out as she's an "expert on romance." Back in the clubhouse, the boys are trying to figure out how they can get the girls to give them presents. Hamtaro thinks it would be embarrassing if he didn't get a present. At Laura's school, Laura learns that just about everyone in the class is planning to give Travis a valentine. This only makes her even more nervous, but Kana tells her that if everyone's giving Travis presents, then hers will just be the best one of all. Back at the clubhouse, Bijou goes and gets Hamtaro's help with Auntie Viv's makeover. This shocks Boss, as he thinks Bijou has picked Hamtaro over him. Hamtaro thinks that he's getting a present and so he's rather surprised when he learns the reason Bijou pulled him out doesn't have anything to do with him. Then, he sees Auntie Viv's makeover. It's completely wild and he doesn't know what to make of it, so he just says that she looks good. Back at the clubhouse, he says he's going to have nightmares. The boy ham-hams then show up and grill him, thinking he got a present. To their disappointment, or perhaps relief, he explains that Auntie Viv has come. Boss says that his "good mood has returned with a vengeance." He goes out and starts chasing Auntie Viv, thinking that Auntie Viv's valentine is for him. Auntie Viv finally admits that the valentine is actually for Elder Ham. Elder Ham, however, hasn't shown up, so she's going to leave. They ask her not to leave, saying they'll search for Elder Ham. They finally find Elder Ham and bring him to Auntie Viv. They have to wake up first, but they finally get him to pay attention to Auntie Viv's gift. He says he's shocked to get a valentine at his age. He opens it --- and out comes a popup gag snake! Elder Ham isn't amused at all. He says he's too tired for this and that Auntie Viv has gone too far. He starts chasing after her. The ham-hams are all shocked. They thought that there was love between them. Then, they find that there was also a package of sunflower seeds in the box. Auntie Viv actually did get Elder Ham a gift. But, as Maxwell says, she's unique. She just had to get in some shock value. Then, to the boy ham-hams' surprise, the girls present them with a big gift of seeds. They say it's their gift to them, as long as they share. That evening, Laura gives her Dad dark chocolate, his favorite. But she never did get the courage to give her gift to Travis. Talking about it in her journal that evening, she says that it would be so embarrassing if Travis actually knew that she likes him. Hamtaro says that it's okay: he thinks that Travis likes her too.moreless
