Robbie and the kids trade in Mamaw's old rust bucket for a regal new convertible. They are unaware, however, that Mamaw is extremely attached the decrepit car she calls Loretta. Rico is forced to play peacemaker, when Lilly and Oliver's constant quarreling drives his customers away.

    It's kind of ironic that in the past I have criticized this show for not showing enough heart while trying to make too many jokes. Here I kind of find myself complimenting them that they finally found the heart, but maybe they could have come up with a couple more jokes.

    Now, the Lilly and Oliver segments were pretty funny. Especially the Rico audience participation parts. And the 100 day thing was kind of funny too. I'm not sure if it's completely believable that a heartless Rico could write a good love note, but than again you can kind of forget because the writers have buried the storyline that Rico is like the smartest kid in his school so maybe even if he doesn't have a heart he can fake it really well.

    As far as the other story I felt it was touching and you can also kind of forget that Mamaw is Robbie Ray's mother on the show and they reminded us fairly well in this one. Except this segment wasn't very funny except maybe the destruction of the car bit to attempt to make it look like the original. But still all in all if I had to choose between less jokes and more heart I will still take heart every time. But still can't they manage to have both? Here's hoping for next time. This still was a step up in the right direction. I hope they keep it up.moreless
