Character Name: Baz B. Berkley The director's name alludes to the legendary director/choreographer Busby Berkeley. Busby created eye-popping dance routines for "Gold Diggers of 1933" and "Two Weeks with Love" as well as ground breaking water ballets for Esther Williams's films. He popularized a particular style of filming, where women danced around in certain patterns while cameras rolled over their heads, which created a kaleidoscope-like effect.

Come Fail Away is a play on the title of a hit song by the band Styx called, Come Sail Away.
