  • i seriously didnt enjoy this.

    4.1
okay, i thought this episode was going to tear jerking. guess not. this episode is just like all the season 1 episodes. Not funny and full of lame jokes.

The only part i liked in this episode was the ending when Rico tried out that machine thingy and flew. i only laughed at that part.

i dont get this episode at all. first they were ina studio, then a beach then the airplane. the song that robby sang was nice but i hated it when they showed pictures of Miley and her father. i felt awkward in a really really bad way.
  • perfect

after robbie hurts himself, he is unable to fly hannah to a concert in florida, meaning her rival will have the stage all to herself. miley does not like how her father refuses to let her go, and so she tricks roxy into thinking robbie said she could take her. what will happen when the truth comes out?

good episode, the line about Robbie never being so disappointed in Miley was sad, especially considering he's obviously her real-life dad. and the song he sings and plays for her was great, overall a good episode that gets an A+ from me
  • Miley goes to Florida.

Hannah and MiKayla meet for the first time. Hannah tries to be nice to her, but MiKayla tells Hannah that she hates her voice and her. Miley is really excited to go to Florida so she can sing better than MiKayla at a charity concert. Miley's dad hurt his back and neck before they went to Florida. He didn't think he would be able to make it so he called it off. Miley still really wanted to go so she asked if Roxy could take her instead. Her dad said no. Miley went anyway. Her dad came after her and he decided to give Miley more freedom to go do things on her own.
  • Best Episode Ever...

    10
this episode is obviously one of the best. it was funny but more of emotional. it shows more of a father & daughter bonding, it made it more realistic because miley & robby are real father & daughter. the best part is when they show their pictures since they are little and robby sing a song, that scene was perfect.

too bad that the episode only last about 20 mins, wish it was like 40 mis or two parts. but the ending was good yet shorten, i guess the main story of the episode is about believing and trusting in your daughter & following your father. the rival is just a sub story to make hannah go to florida. but the episode is such a classic!

thats why i love this show
  • Good as hell episode!

    10
This episode was awesome!! It starts off when Hannah and Mikayla are on this TV show and the announcer asks Hannah if Mikayla has what it takes to be at the United Peoples Reunion Charity Concert and she says yes!! They even wish each other good luck performing at the concert in Florida! Then when they cut to a commercial break and everyone else leaves, Mikayla says she hates Hannah and she's taking all her fans at that concert!! Funny, funny, FUNNY!! This episode was so awesome!! It was so awesome seeing Hannah Montana finally have a rival pop-star! Yo, Disney Channel, keep it up!!
  • Amazing... got me to thinking about my children when I grow up...

I've never written a "Tearjerker" episode review before but this episode really got to me (even though I really wasn't crying) because it's a touching father-daughter moment. It's not every day you hear someone's song dedicated to their daughter. Michael Poryes (writer of this episode and creator of this show) must have thought of this because Miley and Robbie Ray are father and daughter in real life! I think this was just the episode that Hannah Montana needed. The only thing it neglected, though, was the revelation of what Miley (Stewart, not Cyrus) was named for. But, overall, this was a great episode that actually got me to thinking what I'm gonna do with my daughters when I grow up.
  • It wasn't as funny as most.

    7.0
I Want You To Want Me...To Go To Florida was fairly good, but it wasn't as funny as most episodes. It had a better story than most episodes, but it was less of a comedy, and more of a drama. I expected more comedy seeing as it's a comedy show, but I didn't like that it was not very funny. I think that the story line was fine, and the characters didn't seem out of character, but I would have much prefered this episode if it had been funnier and much less serious. This is probably the most serious episode that is in this series. I hope that the rest of the episodes are better.
  • Rival popstars mikayla and hannah are performing together at a charity concert, robbie hurts his back and tells miley she cant go.miley is desprate to make sure mikayla dosnt steal her fans so tricks bodygaurd roxie into going without telling her dad.

    9.9
This is a wonderful episode guest starring selena gomez as hannahs arch rival mikayla. This episode includes the song if cuipid had a heart performed by mikayla. This episode brings a tear to your eye. Miley is distraught her dont wont let her go so she tells her dad she hates him. miley and billy act this so well everyone i know whos watched it has cryed at the end robbie is forced to let miley go alone and tells miley he just dosnt want her to grow up it flashes back to a clip in the past were robbie is playing with miley as a baby. he writes her a heart rending song which goes like this shes says things are falling in place.

    feels like there fallin apart

painting this big old smile on my face to hide my broken heart

    if only she knew

this is where i dont say what i want so bad to say

this is where i want to but wont get in the way of her and her dreams and spresdin her lanes

shes at the start in life and the rest of her life

shes ready as shes ever been

got the hunger and the stars in her eyes the prize is hers to win

shes waiting on my blessings befoe she hits that open road

well baby get ready get set

    and go

this song really explains the dilema that miley and robbie go through in this episode. It is heart rending when robbie sings this to miley. one of the best but sadest epiodes. Well done to all!!!
  • There's a new pop star rival in town and she hates Hannah. One bad thing about this pop star rivalry is that both Mikayla and Hannah have to share a stage in Florida.Robby and Miley fight. She gets mad and decides to disobey her father by going to Florida.

Way to go Disney Channel!!!!!!!!!!! This episode is excellent but so sad and happy at the same time. I didn't cry physically but spiritually I was an emotional river that was the most beautiful moment I've ever seen and the song that was played for Miley was the sweetest thing Robby has ever done for her.I really liked this episode especially when Hannah told Mikayla off and kicked her butt off of the stage you go girl!!!!!!!!!! Mikayla is a no-hit she-witch who needs to know her place and she also looks like she came from an orphanage. Also the crack that Robby made about working out or giving birth to the machine was hilarious.
  • Miley Stewart is a normal teenage girl. The only difference from her and the other teenagers is that she is a teen pop sensation.

I love this episode!! I think it is the best one yet. The song Robbie Ray sings is wonderful! The best part was the videos and pictures of Miley and Robbie. They are so cute! I hope there are more episodes that have father daughter moments like this. Ahhh I loved it!! I was shocked when Miley told her father that she hated him. I was so sad to hear such a good kid say something so horrible to her father. But he did have to let her go, plus:

She blew Mikayla off the stage! Lol I love this episode! Its great how they can make a serious episode funny.
  • so sweet :)

i thought that this episode was okay, it wasn't the best but i did like billy ray's song to miley. i thought it was really cool how when he was singing it there were actually pictures of miley growing up on screen. i thought that was really cool. the only thing that i didin't really like in this episode was the rivalry between hannah and michaela, i mean yeah there is star rivalry going on and they cover it up but i just didn't like how it was played out on the screen. i don't know why i just don't think it seemed very real. but thats just my opinion.

it was a pretty good episode though :)
  • Touching father daughter moment.

So I'm not ashamed to admit I teared when I watched this episode and I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one. It's pretty lame that I'm a 19 year old who watches this show but clearly it's a good show that keeps me watching. I thought it was a great episode that portrays a father's love for his daughter and how hard it is for a father to let the daughter grow up. I remember how hard it was for my dad to accept my first boyfriend because to him I was still his little girl. I loved the song Billy sang to her. It was sweet and cute how they showed footage of when Miley was younger.
  • AWESOME!!!BUT SOO SAD!!!

I would want 2 download the "If Cupid had a Heart" song sung by Mikayla played by Selena Gomez if it was real. I loved the Hannah Montana episode last ngiht but it didn't have enough of Mikayla! The episodes soo far haveconsisted of mostly Miley and her dad troubles. I really don't care. I really wanted the dad2 shut up and I didn't care about his back. Miley sure wasn't herself in this episode and mroe rebellious. I think Miley was really getting more mature, this is one of the first episodes like that. I can't believe Miley siad she hated her dad! It was realistic! Miley agrues with her 2 want for to go to Flordia but her dad keeps saying no because shes not ready for something like that yet. I wanted 2 see more Mileyand Mikayla drama. I loved how in the interview part Miley actually was a fan of Mikayla and how Mikayla could pull off liking Miley I really loved her character and attitude! XD I wasn't about 2 through Miley away but Mikayla rocked! But I didn't like how Miley got all onto Mikayla. Rico proved to be funny as well, especially when he fell off the table dancing buy Miley'

s annoyness! XD The phone call from Mikayla had a laugh to! Going 2 the concert without her dad was really unlike Miley because the whole "close bond" was scattered and built back again in this episode. Robbie Ray finds a note from Miley goes looking for her on the plane. The plane scene was a bit too silly...with Miley hiding on the plane. He finds her and then they have to take off so he has to go back to coach. While back there he gets Miley and he shows the song for Miley on a bark bag, the reason he wouldn't let her go. While singing it to her there are flashbacks of Miley and Billy Ray together with heads in friendly embrace. This episode has theme of how parents feel as their kids grow up and how they move on and how in a parents view its hard 2 except that. The episode made its point but still had some comedy in it! Mikayla should return in another episode!
  • I love the song Billy Ray sang to Miley. It honestly made me cry. Especially with all those flashbacks.

Jackson makes his dad try out this new workout machine and he tightens the rubberband on it and he hurts his back. So when he does that he can't go with Miley to Florida for the Hannah Montana concert. Miley has Roxy try out a machine that will fix it. The machine makes it worse. She tells Bobby Ray that she can just have Roxy take her but he tells her she can't go without him. She stand up and tells him that she hates him and storms off. She tells Roxy that Bobby Ray said that it was ok that she take him. Bobby Ray finds a note written by Miley that said that she went to the concert with Roxy. He goes looking for her on the plane. He finds her and then they have to take off so he has to go back to coach. While back there he has time to think and he writes a song for Miley on a bark bag. While singing it to her there are flashbacks of Miley and Billy Ray. In the end he lets Miley go to the Concert and he goes back home. End of episode.
  • This episode is so touching and i love the song that Billy Ray Cyrus wrote for Miley =)

Wow..For some reason, i think this episode is one of the most special episode in "Hannah Montana". It is not as funny as the others but it means a lot to me. When i was watching it, i can really relate it to my life and the realationship between my dad and me so i think it is so fantistic that the series "Hannah Montana" is really better and better every episodes. Billy Ray Cyrus obviously is a great and thoughtful father and a pretty amazing singer too. I wished my father is like him because my dad never encourages me to do whatever thing my mind sets me to do. =(

Anyway, back to the show, i will this episode two thumbs up!

hannah montana meets another singer mikayla who turns out to be a very competitive two faced snub. after showing her true self to hannah, miley is desperate to go to a charity concert at florida. but things don't go well when robbie ray gets into a small mishap that injures his back. miley finds a way to get to florida without her dad's consent. This is a really funny episode, it was so much fun. I had a really great time watching it. The writers came up with something really really funny. It's fun to watch, each scene was funny, the mikayla hannah rivalry was so hilarious.
  • Miley is growing up

    9.5
I thought the episode was pretty good. It effectively dealt with the theme of how parents feel as their kids grow up, without being preachy or boring. The episode made its point but was still entertaining and funny. Miley and her Dad plan a trip to Florida for a charity event. Miley really wants to go because her pop rival will be there, too. Robby Ray injures his back and decides to cancel the trip. Miley thinks she is old enough to go with just Roxy, but Robby says no. Miley gets mad at her Dad and tricks Roxy into taking her. Wackiness insues on the plane as Robby and Jackson look for Miley while she tries to hide from them. This episode features part of the song "Ready, Set, Don't Go" from Billy Ray's new album (coming out July 24).

Lilly has a small part, which Emily Osment delivers with her usual charm. Rico has a small appearance, but Oliver is completely absent. So, you don't have the dynamic trio of Miley/Lilly/Oliver in this episode.
  • This episode is about how Hannah and her rival Mikayla are doing a charity concert in Florida.

    9.0
This episode was good I liked when robbie ray hurt his back on the exercise machine. The end of the show was good because they showed a good family moment between Billy Ray and Miley I liked how they added the flashbacks into the show that showed how good the bond is between father and daughter. Oliver should have been in this episode I don't know why they didn't put him in.
  • Hannah has some competition, Makayla; who hates Hannah. There is a concert in Florida that is for the United People Releif benifit, but Miley can't go because her dad broke his back working-out. So Miley goes to Florida behind her dad's back with Roxie.
