The Talking Horse Plot Line The 1960's sitcom Mister Ed, which aired from 1961-1966. It first aired in syndication from January through June of 1961, then starting in October of 1961 it aired on CBS for the duration of its run. The horse in this episode of "Hannah Montana" was a white Arabian, the horse in Mister Ed was a chestnut gelding crossbreed of Arabian, American Saddlebred, and grade lineage. The real name of the horse that played Mister Ed was Bamboo Harvester.
Blue Jean's Voice The voice of the talking horse in Miley's dream is an homage to actor Jimmy Stewart. Stewart starred in such Hollywood classics as "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington", "The Philadelphia Story", "Rear Window" and the holiday staple "It's a Wonderful Life". He also provided a voice for an episode of the Disney show "Goof Troop".
Miley Says Goodbye? Part One is a play on the name of a hit song by Tracy Lawrence called How a Cowgirl Says Goodbye.
