Jake: Hey Miley, you wanna go to the 70's dance with me? Fan Girls: Gasp! Miley: Yes Fan Girls: Awwww... Miley: I mean, no! Fan Girls: Yay! Jake: No? Miley: Yes I mean no! Fan Girls: Huh? Miley: Now ya cheer. Fan Girls: Yay! (Miley and Lilly start walking away) Lilly: No? Miley: Yes! Lilly: Yes? Miley: No! Now stop that!

Lilly: (Jumping up and down) I'm going to the dance with Jake! I'm going to the dance with Jake! Why aren't you happy dancing? Why aren't you happy dancing? Miley: Because I like Jake. Lilly: Since when? Miley: Since he saved me from going to the portal to the underworld. Those things make you realize what's important in life.

Miley: Look at him! It's DIS-GUST-ING! Lilly: Oh, c'mon! If he asked you to the dance are you telling me that you wouldn't say yes? Miley: Yes... Lilly: Yes you'd say no, or yes you'd say yes? Miley: No, yes I'd say no! Lilly: What?

Lilly: But ever since he got here all I've heard from you is "Oh, he's so stuck up" and "Oh, who does he think he is." Miley: Yeah, well, I changed my mind. Lilly: Yeah, right after he asked me. Miley: No, actually, last night, which you would have known if you had your cell phone. Photosynthesis. I mean, come on! Lilly: How is this my fault? Miley: It's not. Just tell Jake that you can't go to the dance and everything will be fine. Lilly: But... I don't want to tell him that. Miley: But he likes me. He only asked you because I said no. Lilly: So, what are you saying, that I'm the canned fruit cup you get when they're all out of the chocolate pudding? Miley: What? Lilly: You know what I mean. Well, I've got news for you. The Jake ship has sailed. (Turns around and comes back) And you're not on it. (Turns around again and comes back) I'm in a first class cabin. Miley: Just leave mad already! Lilly: Happily! (They both leave in the wrong direction, then head in the right direction) Miley: My house is this way! Lilly: My house is that way!

Jake: Man, this is not my week. I mean, first this girl I like won't go to the school dance with me, and now, my zombie princess won't kiss me. Hannah: Yeah, well, I just don't think that the zombie princess would-- Who's this girl at school? Jake: Her name's Miley. Hannah: Wow, what an interesting name. I've never heard anything like it. She must be really unique. Jake: She is. She's cute and funny and smart. She's so down to earth. When I talk to her, it doesn't feel like she's talking to Jake Ryan the celebrity, but she's talking to Jake Ryan the person. You know what I mean? Hannah: Yeah, I do. Sometimes you need to know that people like you for who you are and not just because you're a star. Jake: Exactly! And she doesn't like me as a star or a person. Isn't that great? Hannah: Uh, is this a trick question?

Jake: (To Miley) Listen, about the dance, you, uh, seemed really nervous when I asked you. Which is to be expected, 'cause, you know, look at me. Lilly: I do, all the time. Even when you don't know I am. Did I say that out loud? Miley: Yes.

Miley: Lilly, look what I got! Lilly: Not now. Jake's about to change. Miley: Into what, a decent human being?

Lilly: Hey, do you have any scenes with Jake Ryan? Miley: I don't know, I haven't got the script yet, but I don't care. I get enough of that ego-maniac at school. Lilly: Oh, come on. You so like Jake. Miley: No, I don't. How can you say that? Lilly: Because every time his name comes up, you act like you can't stand him. Miley: That's not acting. Lilly: Or is it? Miley: No!
