The show finally shows this Uncle Earle person they'd been talking about from the start. Uncle Earle shows up and thinks Miley will help him get his dream of being a rock star.
This is possibly the worst episode they ever made. Whenever they talked about Uncle Earle they made him seem funny, now that they finally show him, he's dull and just an old man. Also, this episode was more about the Uncle Earle than Hannah Montana. The only thing worst than Uncle Earl finally being shown, is Gilbert Gottfried. He is so annoying why would they ever allow him to guest star on this show?I hated watching this episode and I wouldn't advise anyone to ever view this episode. It was just horrible and badly written, it had a good plot, but they way it was shown ruined it.
uncle earl visits and wants to sing on stage during a concert with hannah montana. only problem is, a critic named Barney Bitman is coming to review her. What will she do?
It was alright. Miley being so excited over Barney liking her more than Mikayla, whilst some people really are excited over stuff like that, was dumb. So ONE critic just so happens to like Hannah better than someone else. That doesn't mean that she's the better singer. It means that one critic of music just so happened to like her more than someone else. I just think it was dumb of her to be so happy with that. Obviously be happy a little but don't go overboard. Grade- C
The episode was the funniest of all the episode the way I look at it. Of course there will be better episodes when new episodes come but right now it is the best. I'd love David Kucher (if thats how you spell his name). I never expected he will play Uncle Earl. I also hope he will be on the movie because I read somewhere that most of the Stewart family will be there. The guitar solo he did was awesome! Even though maybe he didn't know how to play the electric guitar. He is the one that Miley, Jackson or Billy Ray talks about to compare something. Great Job to the cast and crew!
Miley's Uncle Earl has been the butt of many jokes in the Hannah Montana series. So far, he has been told to be a disgusting, bizarre hillbilly, but he had never actually been shown in the series. Until now.
In this episode, Miley is being reviewed by an incredibly harsh critic who has the power of making or breaking singers and bands. She gets very nervous, and plans to practice as much as she can so that she might get a good review. However, Uncle Earl shows up for a suprise visit right then with big plans. He says that he came all the way across the country in order to become a rock star, and he was hoping that he would have some help from Hannah Montana to make his debut. He ends up getting in the way of Miley's success, and Miley has to decide whether to choose family or impressing the critic.
I was pretty excited to see this episode, as I thought that the Uncle Earl character would have TONS of possibilities. However, apart from a few jokes when he first arrives (I'm not kidding, they were ALL in the commercial), Uncle Earl is pretty... normal. Not to mention his guitar playing was actually pretty good, just over-the-top. Actually, the best character in this episode was Jackson, as his stab at his own show's success and him dressing up like Ozzy Osbourne were some of the funniest moments in the episode.
Overall, if you were planning on an episode full of redneck jokes and more making fun of the Stewart family's weirdest relative, you are out of luck. While dissapointing, this episode is still very good. Once again, the supporting actors take the cake and make this one of the best episodes in the series. Recommended.
Now this is like one of those 'our star is the best of all bests' Whatever! i mean that Mikayla girl is a much better singer than Hannah. Yet she was praised by a really strict critict. Now thats just plain bias. Shes not exactly the best singer in this world. Why did they even bother making this episode.
I loved this reason because of the Ozzy or whats his name that Jackson impersonated. Now that was just plain funny. I also liked the part where Lily was like "Ouch, my tooth" and Oliver went "Ouch, mine too" then they went out mumbling
Uncle Earl was mentioned in many previous episodes and now he finally makes an appearance. Only he isn't here to regal us with anecdotes of the past, he's here to be a ROCK STAR!! And just when Miley needs to be awesome for a strict music critic. Of all times! Anyway, this episode was amusing and fun to watch. Especially when uncle Earl starts to be crazy. But one thing I don't get is, his guitar playing rocked, why did everyone hate it? He's actually pretty good at ROCKIN' OUT! Disney surprised me with this episode. The jokes were funny, and uncle earl is just too fun, I would like him for an uncle. Which is why this episode gets an 8.7.
This was such a funny episode. Miley gets all frustrated because Uncle Earl randomly shows up and wants to perform with her. Usually, she'd be cool with that, but this time, a big critic is coming to her show and she doesn't wanna get bashed because of Uncle Earl. She doesn't want to make him feel bad either, so she tries to get out of it in lots of ways. I love this episode! It was the second appearance of Oliver as Mike Stanley and-drumroll please- Jackson as Ozzy Ozzman! Aaaaa..... so funny. This episode was so much fun and Uncle Earl was histerical!
I'm a big fan of Hannah Montana. When the writers are not stealing material or routines from other shows, they actually come up with something fresh. In this episode, they bring out the oft mentioned and often skewered Uncle Earl whose been outlined so many times, he's practically another series regular. Comedian Dave Koechner really fulfills the role and does a good job hamming it up and as well giving it a bit of compassion and character instead of just playing another stereotype. Gilbert Gottfried with that crazy voice of his plays the critic and Miley gets to mimmick him at one point, but the best part is when Jackson does his painfully overdone, yet on-the-nose impression of Ozzy "is-he-dead-yet?" Osbourne. Everytime I see this episode, Jackson cracks me up.
i think it was a good idea to finally let the fans see the infamous uncle earl. but his character was so exaggererated that it was hard to watch. i consider this episode to be very stereotypical of country folk. they show uncle earl being overweight, dumb, and having no sense of rythm or talent whatsoever. the idea of having the critic be very mean and how miley feels like she has to do anything just to get this critic to approve of hannah montana also showcases something that disney has been against all these years, that you shouldnt have to change for anyone. ,miley does eventually get that, but the lesson of the episode is more around the lines of family being more important than anything. overall, a episode that could have been done better.
I'm just going to put it out there that Uncle Earl was completely disgusting. I forced myself to watch the episode, but it was...gross.
If Uncle Earl had been a tiny bit less disgusting and Miley had been a little less stuck up, maybe I would have been a little nicer.
Miley acted extremely selfish and really rude the entire episode, and there was no excuse for it. Although Earl was...blech, he was being really nice to Miley and she should have returned the favor at least.
I did, however, like Jackson in this episode, which is why I give it a 5.
I've kinda grown to not watch too much of Hannah Montana since it got too big. But for this episode, I enjoyed it. More Uncle Earl jokes throughout the whole episode once again, but most of them come from Uncle Earl himself. Because for once, we can actually see him!
And the actor who played him did a really good job. I thought he was actually pretty funny most of the time. As for the rest of the plot, I pretty much loved that to. I liked Miley worrying about a critic. And the guy that played the critic (can't think of his name) also did really good. I loved his part.
I guess for once, I don't have anything bad to say about a Hannah Montana episode.
Miley really wants to practice for a concert so she'll get a positive review from a very popular critic who trashes every famous singers on tv. but uncle girl unexpectedly pays a visit at her house and he asks her to help him jumpstart his rockstar career. Uncle earl becomes a distraction and disturbance in miley's rehearsals, but she keeps feeling sorry for him so she always try to give him a chance. It's a really funny episode. The writers were able to make this episode fun to watch. I had to see it twice, i can't wait for the next episode.
Miley watches Barney Bittman, a hard critic. He says that he will review Hannah Montana on the next episode. She wants to impress him and be better than Mikalah. Uncle Earl makes a visit. He seems to be more of an annoyance than a help to Miley's rehearsals. He wants to be a rock star and when he injures the guitarist, Uncle Earl becomes the new lead guitar for Miley's concert. He is so excited, but Miley crushes his dreams because she doesn't think he plays that well and doesn't want to ruin her performance for Barney. She then feels bad and lets him play during the concert. It turns out that Barney Bittman loved Uncle Earl's guitar act.
This episode was okay. Uncle Earl is weird and sort of dumb. I loved it when Oliver was screaming at the pig pee. I liked how it showed that family is important. This episode gets a 7.0 out of 10!
This was a great episode about us meeting the much referred to Uncle Earl in the story line.He lived up to the expectation of his character and was just plain fun to watch.I would like to see more continued visits of Uncle Earl every once in a while since there is so much material to build on with this character to make more stories. I also appreciated when Miley's character let Earl play on stage with her thus fulfilling his dream of stardom. This is very endearing with Miley's character when she is showing her love and compassion for those around her. Good job..Y'all!
There goofy uncle comes to visit surprisingly and wants to be a rock star. A mean critic wants to judge Hannah Montana but uncle earl wants to perform with her. He finds out that she thinks he's goofy and not happy. So miley doesnt care and lets him play.
Miley is at home with her friends and Jackson while watching a trash celebrity talking show about a critic who makes fun off all the celebs. Miley is unsure of letting the critic come to her concert and judge her harshly like he did to Mikayla. So uncle earl comes on a surprising visit to become a rock star. But when miley sees how ridiculous uncle earl's costume and dream to become an rock star they devise a plan to trick him out of it. The plan backfires and uncle earl over here's that Miley said he's being ridiculous and could never be a rock star because she wants no flaw in her concert for the critic to judge. So she sees how sad uncle earl is and doesn't care and let's him on stage and everyone rocks out. So Miley and her family with friends watch the critic show and surprisingly the critic loved the old-school theme and gave her thumbs up. So Miley was happy and uncle earl finally lived out his dream and has a good story to tell aunt pearl and everyone else. So mainly it's a good thumbs up!!
This episode was just plain hilarious Koechner was just making me laugh so much him and billy ray make a very funny comical team. Miley was embarassed at first when he was trying to copy her moves and trying to act like a little kid. Miley didn't want the critic to make fun of her so she didn't want Earl with her up on stage and he realized that the rockstar life wasn't for him. Until miley wanted her funky uncle with her to rock with her and robbie. When they were on stage that was the funniest part of the episode.
