  • The Fonz is concerned that he is no longer 'cool' and so he sets about proving that he is, but is risking his life really worth it?

    "Great"
Fonzie is going through a crisis. For some reason, he believes that he is no longer 'cool'. Richie and the others try to reassure him that this is utter nonsense but he is still feeling very low and decides that he has to do something daring in order to prove to himself that he still 'has it', whatever it is.

He makes arrangement to jump his motocycle over fourteen garbage cans - a record, but a highly dangerous one. The stunt will be televised live on 'You Wanted To See It' and Fonz is convinced that if he can pull it off, he will be cool again and that neither he nor anybody else will question it.

    "Great"
This episode maybe isn't the most hilarious offering of the series, but it is a good one, and one of the most notable.

Worried that he is loosing his cool, Fonzie decides to atempt to break a record and jump 14 garbage cans on his motorcycle. The stunt will be televised on the TV show 'You Wanted To see It'. The Fonz's usual magic touch not working on things is amusing, and there is some real tension around his big jump.

This would probably have worked better as a single episode, but with such a big event, they probably wanted to milk it and extend it into a two-parter.moreless

    • The show You Wanted to See It is a fictional show based on the real-life ABC show You Asked For It. Jack Smith was the host of the show on ABC from 1958-1959 and in syndication from 1971-1977. At the time of this episode, it was 1956 in Happy Days time. Art Baker was the host of You Asked For It from 1950-1958. Smith wasn't hosting the show at the time of this episode, so this may be the reason as to why they didn't just use the name of the real show on Happy Days. Also, they couldn't use Baker because he had died nine years earlier. Edit

    • Fonzie: I'm losing my cool. Richie: No, you're probably just having a slump. Everybody goes through slumps. I mean, even Mantle and Mays, those guys go five or six games... Fonzie: Hey, hey, hey! I'm not talking about grown men chasing little balls around a field. I'm talking about the Fonz losing his cool! Edit
    • Richie: (referring to the television) Why don't you fix the horizontal? Everybody looks short and fat. Howard: I like it that way. Edit
