Richie, Potsie, and Ralph sing "John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt" at a table at Arnold's. Joanie comes in and tells the guys about Leather Tuscadero, Pinky's sister. She is about 18 years of age and has brown hair. Leather meets the boys. Leather and the Suedes (her back-up singers) are looking for a job. Ralph suggests Leather and her band play at Arnold's for Friday night's Freshman (U.W.M.) Come to Arnold's Fest. Richie reminds Ralph about Arnold's own in-house band. Bertie and Gertie (the Suedes) come into Arnold's. Fonzie and the family are eating dinner as Richie arrives at the house. Fonzie says Leather is a thief because she stole his wallet and comb some time ago. He says she was just "sprung" from a reform school. Richie asks Fonzie to talk to Al about getting her band an audition at Arnold's. Fonzie leaves in an uproar. At Arnold's, Richie talks to Al and tells him the band played at a reform school and were in jail. Al finally agrees to hear an audition. Fonzie shows up for the audition and talks to Leather. Leather sings "Cat Size," and Al gives them the job. Fonzie is still skeptical about Leather changing her ways. Chachi runs in and tells them that Officer Kirk will close down Arnold's if an ex-convict is going to perform. Prior to the scheduled performance, Kirk tells all the kids to chant "Go home jailbirds!" Fonzie talks to Leather in her dressing room, the ladies' restroom. Leather says nobody will give her a chance, and she is scared. One of the Suedes (Gertie) quits, and Joanie volunteers to take her place. Leather and the Suedes come out and perform "All Shook Up." Following the song, everyone chants "Go home Kirk!" Chachi tells the news that some booking agents spotted Leather and the Suedes and said that they will be going on tour with Fabian
starting in San Francisco. When Richie predicts Howard and Marion won't let her go, Joanie tells him that she will run away if she has to. The band performs "Heartbreak Hotel."
