Fonzie and Howard are picked for jury duty. The case appears cut and dry, but Fonzie isn't so sure. Meanwhile, Richie, Potsie, and Ralph practice for a fraternity festival, and Marion is to hold a paint sale at the hardware store in Howard's absence.moreless

"Fonzie for the Defense" was a nice little parody of 12 Angry Men that while they stole the plot from that movie, delivered in an enjoyable way that kept me interested and more importantly kept me laughing throughout. I was actually surprised how good the "A" storyline for this episode was. Great Fonzie and "Mr. C" moments tonight and a great early appearance by Barney Martin who would of course go on to become Morty Seinfeld on Seinfeld.

The side storyline with Richie was a little dumb though, although it was not a terrible plot. Never really realized, but there are some striking similarities between Ron Howard on this show and Jon Cryer on Two and a Half Men.

Good episode, definitely check this one out.moreless
