Fonzie sets up the photos of his girlfriends in the shape of a diamond because they are gems. Richie comes in and tells him that Officer Kirk was looking for him down at Arnold's. Fonzie quickly packs up some of his belongings in a suitcase. Howard looks out the window and tells Marion to turn out the lights. Officer Kirk stops by and asks Howard about his parking tickets. Kirk offers to take care of the tickets and the loading zone Howard wants in front of his hardware store in exchange for him getting Fonzie to act as a policeman. There is a rumored rumble to take place between Fonzie's former gang, the Falcons, and the Dragons. The police department wants Fonzie to talk the Falcons out of it. Fonzie agrees to do it. The next day, Richie, Joanie, and Howard eat breakfast. Fonzie comes in wearing his uniform, and Joanie laughs at him. Fonzie talks about setting up a softball game between the two gangs. He has given Howard a summons for leaving the lids off the garbage cans. Fonzie comes into Arnold's, and Ralph and Potsie make fun of him. Lefty and the Falcons soon come in. Fonzie and Richie try to talk some sense into Lefty until Fonzie learns that the Dragons told Fonzie to sit on it. Fonzie lifts some weights at his place, and Richie tries to change Fonzie's mind regarding the rumble. Richie takes the police hat and belt and goes to Arnold's to stop the rumble himself. The Falcons and the Dragons arrive, and Fonzie shows up. He says the Dragons will get the hangout the first part of the week and the Falcons the second part of the week (a plan Richie had suggested to Fonzie). He declares the rumble a tie. Fonzie sends Richie, Potsie, and Ralph home and calls in Roberta for a slow dance in the empty restaurant.
