This excellent and very funny episode illustrates just how much Henry Winkler and Ron Howard took over as fan favorites on "Happy Days". Initially, Fonzie was meant to be a second or even third string character but he proved so popular during Season One that his name was placed second in the opening credits. Quite an achievement and a testament to Winkler's popularity.
In this episode, Potsie is out of town, which means that Richie's band, hired to play for the Senior Dance, doesn't have a singer. Problem solved, after much persuasion, they get Fonzie to agree to sing for them - if "singing" is what you can actually call it, it's more like a very funny noise, and a torturous one at that!
Henry Winkler shines brightly in this episode and gets to show off more of his excellent comedic skills.
