  • Fonzie has some amazing news for the Cunninghams - he's getting married!

    6.5
Fonzie is a fairly predictable sort of guy. He loves cars, fixing his hair and having practically a harem full of women at his disposal night and day, so the last thing that Richie and his family expected to ever hear from his lips was that he is engaged and about to be married so, naturally, they are stunned when he announces this very fact to them.

Getting over their surprise, Fonzie and his fiancee, Maureen, (Nellie Bellflower) are invited to dinner, where Fonz proudly shows off his new bride. However, Howard feels somewhat uncomfortable when he is certain that Maureen is 'The Lone Stripper', a girl with a very distinctive laugh. Just as soon as Maureen laughs, Howards knows he's right, but how does he break the news to Fonzie?
  • In this first episode to be filmed before a live studio audience, Fonzie suddenly announces he is to get married. All seems well, until Howard recognises the bride-to-be as a stripper!...

    9.5
For the first time, this episode was filmed before a live studio audience (as Howard announces at the start of the story), and it really brings the proceedings to life. The audience react well to the jokes, and it really makes the episode spark.
The experiment was popular enough for the practice to be use for (nearly) ever episode from the beginning of the following season.

There are some great moments from this episode - my favourite is Fonzie and Richie's meeting in the men's room, and Fonzie instructing Potsie to put his hands over his ears as he uses the toilet.

It also marks the first time of both Fonzie using the Fonzie Tap (hitting the juke box to make it start and stop)m and the Fonzie Finger Snap (calling every one to attention).

One of the best episodes of the season in my opinion.
