I can't really pick just one season, but my favorites are 1-4 and 11.

    I kind of disagree.

I didn't really like it back in the older episodes. The jokes were kind of corny and it was too much like a typical family sitcom. In the later seasons, it started to get really funny and now it wasn't as typical as it used to be.

Was Season 3 when they started filming infront of a live audience?

Yes, that was the first full season they filmed before a studio audience. They also did one such episode in season two.

Season 1 & 2 are the best by-far!!!!! None of the other seasons can compare! The filming of the 1st two seasons imitated American Graffiti, the episodes look more like a movie than a sitcom. The season 3 episodes before a live audience began the eventual downward spiral that would lead to the Grand-Pooba (a little Happy Days lingo, if you will) of all Jump The Shark moments- the one in which JTS is named for! After season 2, I won't purchase any of the other DVD sets!

Although there are a few episodes of Season 3 that I haven't seen for some years, I would personally rank seasons 2-3 as the show's best, as they have some of the best (and funniest) stories.

But anything from season 1 roughly up until Richie and Ralph leaving the series are good, with some great episodes thrown in. Afterwards, there was the odd good episode but a lot of so-so ones mixed in, and they should have called it a day a season or two earlier.

Three. It took some time for them to get it right and then a year later they started running out of steam.

I still haven't seen a lot of the post-Richie episodes, so I can't really judge them all.

But I think Season 3 (1975 - 1976) would be my favorite. I think the live audience was better and also the writing was funny. I also think the show started to look like a mix of 1950's/1970's after that. The earlier shows looked more like the 50's.

I like season 3 because of the new look. There are some that I like ineach season, and I dic really like Richie, Ralph, Potsie, and of course, the Fonz, but I really like the ones with Joanie and Chachi There were episodes in seasons 9 & 10 that I liked, I liked the fact that Fonz had a steady girlfriend with a little girl. But I liked season 11 better. Although Joanie and Chachi broke up, but I was thrilled when they got married and the whole family (except Chuck, of course) came back for it

I would say seasons 3-7 However, I also liked the 8th, and 9th seasons as well. I felt that the scripts were better overall during the 4 year period. I also liked the two year period that featured Jonnie and Chachi's singing.

Well, I have to say i like the seasons where joanie and chachi took over lead from ron howard so i would say season 8 or 9. I think season 10 was the worst with the departure of joanie and chachi they needed have anyone to pick up the slack and although i did like the fonzie/ashley scene the shows were more about fonzie but they fell flat and the new characters like k.c, flip couldn't replace joanie and chachi
