Richie is home alone feeling ill as his family have gone out for the evening, but a noise interrupts his rest.

Poor Ritchie is not feeling at all well and decides to stay at home while his parents and sister go out for the evening. Marion doesn't want to leave him but he assures her that he will stay in bed resting and will be fine, so finally, they all leave.

After they have gone, he waits for his friends to come around with a pizza, after which they plan to watch a movie, but the noise he hears downstairs is not the arrival of his friends but is in fact a bumbling burglar intent on robbing the Cunningham household.

This is a predictable episode with an inept burglar and equally inept teenage boys but there are a few laughs along the way.moreless
