Potsie sings "Everyday" at Arnold's with Ralph on the piano. Richie is late and isn't there to do the saxophone solo. Al plays his kazoo. When Richie arrives, two cops put handcuffs on him and take him away. Fonzie intervenes and talks to one of the cops. The cop says Richie is charged with breaking and entering, fleeing the scene of a crime, petty theft, and invasion of privacy. He accuses Richie of being the "Kissing Bandit." In a lineup at the police station, one of the Bandit's victims, Miss Klausen, picks out Richie, "the innocent looking one." Richie talks to Howard on the phone who guesses where he is. Richie is asked some questions and then is taken for fingerprinting and a photograph. Richie is put in a holding cell. Everyone goes to the station to support Richie. Fonzie comes in with someone who pays Richie's bail. Richie is released, and they all leave. Richie's arraignment is the next morning. Richie is surrounded by screaming girls as he returns home from talking with his lawyer who wants him to cop a plea. Howard says they will get another lawyer because Richie doesn't want to plead "guilty" to a lesser charge. Richie receives a call from the W.O.W. radio station who wants to interview him. Fonzie enters and shows Howard a newspaper article about the Kissing Bandit. Richie's picture is there. Fonzie tells Richie they should set a trap to catch the bandit. Later, Richie comes down wearing a black wig and dress. Later, Fonzie sends Howard, Marion, and Joanie to a movie. Richie comes down wearing a dress and wig. Fonzie leaves the window open in the living room and tells Richie that the bandit was last seen four blocks down. Richie practices being sexy. They hear some whistling outside, but it's just Potsie and Ralph. Fonzie tells them to go upstairs and act as lookouts. The Kissing Bandit finally arrives and startles Richie. Richie, Potsie, and Ralph chase him around the house as Howard, Marion, and Joanie return from the movie. The bandit pulls a vase on them. He admits being the Kissing Bandit. Fonzie stops him at the front door. The cops take the Bandit into custody, and he kisses Marion on the way out. The family and Fonzie have some hot chocolate.
