Lavon, distracted by his personal life, lets his mayoral duties slide with BlueBell's Pioneer Day quickly approaching and a reporter from Southern Living magazine visiting town. Realizing that Lavon needs help, Zoe and Wade offer to help by playing BlueBell's "Founding Couple." Zoe tries out a new approach in her relationship with Wade, which finds her tackling many new projects. Lemon and Annabeth devise a scheme to get Lavon to let allow them to cater the First Feast, helping them generate some publicity for their new business. Meanwhile, George reluctantly gives advice to Brick on how to handle his new relationship.
