Vintage footage from a real Challenge of the Superfriends episode was used when Black Vulcan explained to Peanut what his first time fighting an evil villain was like. Specifically, the footage was from episode two called The Fearian Invasion.

Robin has no super powers. Why would Birdman talk to Batman about the problem?

To get into the Justice League, you have to be an experienced hero. However, Black Vulcan's first time was when he was already in the League. We know because he fought him in the Hall Of Justice while looking for Aquaman. He shouldn't be in the Justice League in the first place unless he was just visiting.
