Haunted Junction

Show Summary

Saito High is a school haunted by many spirits. Some of them are friendly, some are wacky, and some are just pure evil. There are so many ghosts, in fact, that the "Holy" Student Council's main duty is to keep the spirits from causing trouble. Haruto Hojo, a minister's son, just wants to live a normal school life in which he can actually attend his classes, but he's stuck having to lead the Council as the President.

The other two members of the Holy Student Council are Kazumi Karuo, a son of a buddhist monk, who is constantly being possessed by spirits, and has a thing for a sexy ghost who haunts one of the school bathrooms, and Mutsuki Asahina, a shinto priestess with fierce excorcising powers and a disturbing love for boys under twelve. Did we mention these three are supposed to tame the spirits?

This series from Nemu Mukudori aired in 1997 for only 12 half-hour episodes Wednesdays from 1:45-2:15am, and features character designs from Atsuko Nakajima, who also did the immensely popular Ranma 1/2. Only the Japanese dub was produced, although Bandai did an English sub-only version later. That version is available as a DVD or earlier formats.moreless
