GOOF: If Tim could wield a club or drag Frank, surely he could chop some firewood.
This episode marks the first time that we discover what Frank looks like from a ghost's point of view, like a glowing beacon. This explains why ghosts are drawn to him.
When Matthew Fox is wearing just a white vest top, a chinese symbol tattoo can be seen on his back by his left shoulder-blade.
Tim: (On Frank) How's he doing? Elise: How would you be doing if you were him right now? Tim: Elise, I want you and Kathy to stay out of there. Just leave him be. Elise: Leave him be? For how long? Oh, Tim. The man is hurt. He needs a doctor. At the very least, he needs food and water. Tim: Does he? Elise: (realizes what Tim wants to do) Tim. No. Tim: Elise, just please, for once, do as I say.
Elise: I can't do it. I can't leave Kathy. She would think that we'd abadoned her. She would never understand. Frank: It doesn't have to be that way, Elise. You could explain it. You could show her. Elise: But then, she, she would know. She would quit seeing me. Frank: At least she wouldn't wonder what happened to you. She'd know. She'd be able to go on. if you ask me, you've been given this... rare chance. You get to tell her that you love her and say good-bye.
Elise: Dying was so easy. It was so effortless. We just got up from out nap as usual. But, then we realized we stepped out of our bodies. But you already know what that's like, don't you? To step out? Frank: How did you know? Elise: Once the light from the other side touches someone, it never leaves them. To me, you're like a bright flame in the dark. You know, that's how I saw you coming down the road. You couldn't hide from the dead if you tried.
Kathy: What's a Godsend? Frank: Godsend? I guess it's a good thing, why? Kathy: Because that's what my Mom called you.
