PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE profile the case of the Lyon sisters ages 11 and 13), who went missing without a trace in 1975. The girls had walked from their home to a local shopping mall, where they were sighted by witnesses. It is suspected that they were abducted while walking home from the mall. This is oldest missing persons case in Montgomery County, Maryland (a close suburb of Washington, D.C.)and is a popular topic on crime message boards. The case is notable for the lack of credible leads in the case, the fact that the girls' father was a local and popular radio personality, and that this case marked the end of innocence for the community. This enduring and tragic mystery needs new leads and information which could lead to a conclusion. I have never seen this case profiled on any crime t.v. shows. I watch many of them and think Haunting Evidence is one of the best.
