      ADD QUOTES
      • Gino: We have to have a fire? That smoke'll show for miles around! Paladin: Well, you can't ambush somebody who isn't here; they might miss us.

      • Gino: What's he saying, what's he babbling about? Paladin: He's trying to renege on the bargain. He wants to trade just his soul, leave yours out of it. Gino: That's nonsense, you know it is...isn't it?

      • Gino: Well, ain't there anything we can do for the old man? Paladin: You can pray if you believe in it.

      • Paladin: Well, is that mirror Baroque or Louis Quatorze? Bartender: Eh? Paladin: How silly of me. Baroque, of course.

      • Gino: Well, you tell him mister......Tell him that you ain't the Devil. Paladin: Now why should I tell him that?

      • Paladin: "Let each soldier hew him down a bough and bear't before him: and thereby Birnam wood will come to Dunsinane." Gino: What's that? Paladin: That, friend, is Shakespeare. Paladin is paraphrasing a bit, and combining two quotations. The lines are from MacBeth, Act 5. The first part is from Scene IV, spoken by Malcolm, and is as follows: "Let each soldier hew him down a bough and bear't before him: thereby shall we shadow the numbers of our host and make discovery err in report of us." The line about Birnam wood comes a little further on in Scene V, where MacBeth comments about a prophecy: "...fear not, till Birnam Wood do come to Dunsinane, and now a wood comes toward Dunsinane."
