    • TRIVIA (1)

      • (Goof) During the opening credits, Richard Boone paraphrases a quote from later in the episode, as usual. He says, "Which one are you, Frazier? The one who put the rope around Aaron Bell's neck? Or did you just cheer and wait for the trap to fall?" The reference should have been to Paul Bell, the man who was actually lynched. (The dialogue in the episode did not, in fact, mention a name; Paladin simply referred to "his" neck.)

    • QUOTES (3)

      • Paladin: Now which one are you?
Frazier: But you just said my name, I...
Paladin: Yes, I know your name. But which one are you? Are you the one who put the rope around his neck? Or did you cry out for the trap to be sprung, huh?
Frazier: There were a lot of hands on the rope that night.

      • Aaron: When my brother was still swinging in that tree, the mob quieted down because they got a little sick about what they done. And I heard a man say, "God forgive me." While Paul's body was still swinging in the tree and the light was still on his face, he was asking forgiveness. Well, if that man is allowed to live out his days, there ain't no God.

      • Mrs. Howard: Why did he bring you here?
        Aaron: Ask.
Paladin: Very simple. He's going to kill one of you. Problem is to find out which one.
