Driscoll: Where I know where you stand, I'll be glad to answer any of your questions.
Duke: If you knew me as well as you're pretending to, then you would know I stand for me.
Agent Howard: Audrey Parker.
Audrey: Agent Howard.
Agent Howard: How's local cop life treating you?
Audrey: You know, cats in trees. Like that.
Duke: What's more dangerous? Drinking and driving, or bugs and driving? At least I know why you didn't return my calls.
Nathan: I've got about a hundred reasons not to return your calls.
Audrey Parker: So you think I caused the frogs and the bugs. What are you thinkin', did I use my magic wand or maybe my tricorder?
Audrey: First of all, a tricorder is just for reading.
Duke: What do you want?
Evi: Why do I have to want something?
Duke: Because your lips are moving.
Audrey: I'm not going to bury your dead.
Nathan: You have to, you're the only one...
Audrey: No, I'm not going to do it. I'm not going to waste a perfectly good cooler.
Audrey Parker: What cooler?
Duke: You don't mean this cooler?
Audrey: Yeah.
Evi: Bug infestations, schizophrenic weather... how do you keep the tourists away?

Injokes: The opening scene references Stephen King's novel It, where a young boy is killed when chasing his newspaper boat down the gutter during a rainstorm. The Good Shepherd Church is on Witcham Street, the same street where the scene in It takes place. Also, the accident at the beginning takes place on the intersection of McCausland and Poplar. Poplar is street where the event of King's novel The Regulators occur. Ruth McCausland is the police chief in The Tommyknockers.
Audrey Parker: What are you thinkin', did I use my magic wand or maybe my tricorder?
Referencing Star Trek and the handheld scanning device used by the crew, typically on away missions. The tricorder scans and records data and is capable of detecting various forms of energy. Other versions such as the specialized medical tricorder also exist.
