Haven: Nathan/Audrey/Duke

Hey Guys!

I don't post very often, but i figured I'd create a topic like this for anyone who might want to discuss the relationship between Nathan, Audrey, and Duke. I for one prefer Nathan than Duke if either one of them were to end p with her. I just think he's so sweet at heart and I feel bad for him. He's also apparently really good with kids which is a plus. It shows his sensitive side. I know he's reserved right now, but I think as the series continues he will break out of his shell.

I see Nathan as a vulnerable but passionate man that needs to have someone like Audrey by his side in order to solve and deal with the 'troubles'.

I don't like Duke for some reason, he seems like he's not that serious, but I think Nathan and Audrey have more chemistry together.

And whatever Nathan is or was I'm sure Audrey will protect.

Yeah, I completely agree. Well, other than the fact that I do like Duke, but I like Nathan more for some reason. I think Duke is funny, but I agree with the fact that I don't think he's all that serious. Nathan is sweet and tortured. For some reason I find that almost always root for the tortured ones, lol.

Yeah, Nathan is like Mulder to me. He could break at any moment... And then it is when I will feel like hugging him and protecting him from the world.

Lol, No you're not silly. I completely see where you're coming from. Although, right now he seems to be with that Jess woman, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I think it's good that he's in a relationship. Of course eventually I would like him to be with Audrey, lol

Okay, after watching Ain't No Sunshine I think it's clear on who's meant to be with who. Definitely Audrey and Nathan(no offense to the Audrey/Duke shippers). The fact that Audrey is the only person or thing that Nathan can physically feel the touch of is sort of a clear sign in my eyes. His face at the end was priceless and I loved it when Audrey realized that she did have a friend and so did Nathan: each other. I am a total Audrey/Nathan shipper after that episode.

The "Ain't No Sunshine" episode was awesome and I agree the ending was so touching. We are starting to seeing the true Nathan and I hope the he and Audrey become closer. The two are destined for each other. Since the beginning, they have always felt comfortable together and worked well as a team. I hope it continues in that direction. I love Nathan's character.

I'm definitely on the Duke side. The relationship between Audry and Nathan seem more brotherly than passionate to me. Of course my favortie character is Duke and he is the one I want to see a HEA ending for.

I can't see Audrey with Duke, but maybe because I'm biased. I think the character, Duke, is too shady and smarmy. As for the actor, I cannot bear to even look at Eric Balfour (his head goes on for miles). I didn't like him in "24", and I don't like him in "Haven".

I thought I was the only one that saw that look of amazement in his eyes when he felt her kiss. Nathan was so excited when got into the truck! I think they would be wonderful together, but I wonder how their working together will influence their behavior. Duke has a vulnerable side, but there is some heavy history between the guys and I wonder how that will play into it all. I love the show's pretense, but the relationship aspect of the show has me mesmerized and anxiously awaiting the next episode. Do you think Nathan will tell her? How would she react?

Okay, so I just watched the newest episode and I have to say, my opinion on the matter definitely has NOT changed. Nathan was able to tell who the camelien was because he can feel Audrey's touch. And he kissed her! Well, the camelian, which kinda stinks. I really want him to tell her that he can feel her touch...

On another note. I think it would be interesting if Duke was Audreys brother or something. Since he is the boy in the Colorado Kid picture, it would make sence.

This last episode shows off Duke's connection to Audrey's past... it also explains to me why didn't hesitate jumping into bed with Martha because he may not be viewing Audrey as a love interest. Duke's awkwardness at the beginning of the show offered a hint that he was trying to tell her something serious. I forgot about it until the end of the show when he gave her two gifts. And I'm as ticked as she is that he didn't say anything that first day when he was looking at the picture in the station. I thought the brother angle too. Maybe he knew his sister was out there somewhere and that's why he looked so vulnerable when Audrey told him he could never see his daughter, a deeper cord was struck as well.

I know that I said earlier that maybe Duke could be Audrey's brother(which I still think is a possibility) but the only problem I would have with that would be the fact that they look nothing alike. There is not one similarity between Duke and Audrey, look wise. But it's television so I guess you never know, lol.

Well, he could be her half brother. My sister is blond and I'm a brunnette and look nothing alike so, I guess it's possible. Or they could be not related at all.

I wish Nathan wouldn't had said that he can feel Audrey's touch. I sort of wanted it to be "their thing" or his secret. I also wonder if the rest of the group listened to what he said to the shapeshifter. I would've loved to see Duke's reaction!

I liked how worried Audrey was for Nathan's well being. It was the first thing she asked him when she saw him and even stared at him. It was nice.

And just why is he keeping it to himself? This is what I'm talking about. If he truly wants this woman then why won't he just tell her what happened with the kiss? He's just keeping another secret on top of the OTHER ones that he's keeping!

Looks aren't the biggest problem with this theory. Duke actually KNOWING that Audrey might be his sister is the biggest problem. Duke already indicated that he knows all about Lucy so the idea that he would intentionally and romantically pursue Lucy's (possible) daughter Audrey (who might also be his sister) makes Duke look rather.................
