The Tides That Bind was a great episode of Haven and I enjoyed watching this episode because it had a great story, character and plot development as well as more interesting troubles. It was interesting to see more about Driscoll's past as well as Dukes. There were a few surprises with some of the new characters in Haven. I thought it was neat how Nathan and Audrey discover just how much they are following in The Chief and Lilly's footsteps. I look forward to watching the next episode of Haven!!!!!moreless

Water people? Well, I did like that episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark where they had the water demons.

It was a clever story, I do not know if the show has hired Fringe writers or something, but they have been having these clever little ideas as of late. The fact is that this is not a well-written show at all and as creative as plot may be week to week by the end of the program the viewer just wants some sleep. This became really awkward when Audrey and Nathan just watched them as they walked into the water.

Average episode tonight, nothing more nothing less.moreless

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • This episode marks the reappearance of Dr. Lucassi. He was originally seen in the episode "Harmony" as the doctor of the Murray Q. Frederikson Psychiatric Facility. The "Freddy" was built in honor of Murray Frederikson, who suddenly decided he could breathe like a fish and disappeared under the sea, like the Troubled family in this episode.

  • QUOTES (2)

    • Duke: Body washed up on the beach today. Guy with a tattoo.
Evi: Really, did it say "I Heart Haven"?

    • Audrey: Thank you. That was really brave.
Driscoll: Oh, Mary would never have shot me.
Audrey: No, I meant convincing her that this is about more than just prayer.
Driscoll: You're right about that, Officer Parker. The time for prayer is indeed over. But a good shepherd always finds a way to save his flock.

  • NOTES (2)

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • Nathan: The reverend and his men are this close to going all Mad Max on the Glendowers.
Referencing the 1979 movie Mad Max, the first in a trilogy of movies featuring Mel Gibson as "Max," a former policeman who wanders a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
