  • Too much action.

Sometimes you can have too much action, when the action goes on and on it can ,in fact, become boring. This was the case in this episode.

Man (Sproxar) you hit that nail right on the head. I'm about sick of the whiny Danny and Steve bromance as well. But the thing that gits me the most is Steve is suppose to be an ex navy Seal. He shoots like a girl scout and does everything the hard way. He shoots straight only when it is appropriate for the plot. He runs right past a automatic weapon that is laying on the ground so he can dive onto the skid bar of a helicopter. Who is writing this crap a third grader?! And whats up with Chin? He had a perfect opportunity to take out the guy and the girl when they were hacking the computer. Her weapon was on the table. They should change the name to Hawaii CRAP 5.0 . This show started out pretty good and has good potential but lately it as been spinning out of control. Get it together because I know I've seen better shows than this canceled.moreless
  • Unbelievable...

    5.0
Alright. I understand the concept of using one character as a foil, or contrasting POV character. I also understand the stereotype that all characters from the New York / New Jersey area are obnoxious, insensitive, and opinionated. But does Danny REALLY need to take it so far? Seriously, all he ever does is whine and complain. And when he's not doing that, he's bringing up distracting BS at totally inappropriate times. Did he really need to interrupt Steve, while he's giving CPR to a dying suspect, in the middle of a hostage taking, while hiding out from gunmen, to talk about his relationship issues? I almost hit the delete button on my PVR right there. It's hard enough to suspend your disbelief on this show as it is, without them going so over the top developing Steve and Danny's bromance.

On another note, I see that Catherine has been voted MVP for this episode, in spite of the fact that all she did was get captured and used as a hostage. Meanwhile Steve took out a heavily armed hit team bare handed at the beginning, and did the same for a helicopter full of armed bad guys at the end, and still only rates second. But you've gotta admit, Michelle Borth is hot, so I guess that makes it OK.moreless
  • good as always...

this will be quite a pace to keep up for the rest of the season.

though I am getting a little tired of the "butt heads with the boss" clich. it's overdone.

they were hired for a reason, they get results, there is nothing the new guy can do about.

don't go making battles when you have enough with the bad guys out there.
  • Loud!

Great season opener-lots of action, of course. But was anyone else bothered by how loud the background music/sounds were? There were times that I could barely make out the words of the conversations-especially between Steve and Danno-and that's the best part of this show. Come on!

    • Steve: What were you gonna, what were you gonna tell her? You love her or something?
      Danny: I don't know. I mean, maybe.
Steve: Okay. Well, you know what? Maybe you should be sure how about that, before you say something like that to a woman, okay? Because once you say it, you can't unsay it, you understand me? It's a serious thing.
Danny: Uh-huh. I understand. Are you speaking from experience? Because I personally don't think it counts when you say it to a pistol.
