  • Nice Twist

The season final had a really nice twist. I wasn't expecting the governor to be killed. You never knew what was going to happen next. The fact that Steve ended up running from the police was a really cool twist. They ended the season final really good. I can't want until the next to start again so I can what happens.I am really can't want to see what Danny does about his family. They add a really interesting twist with that one. I love when you can't see what going to happen next. This show does it very well. You really not sure what is going to happen. It keeps you guessing. I love the show.moreless
  • The first season ends with McGarrett closing in on Wo-Fat. During his investigation McGarrett learns just why Five-0 exists. He also discovers that the people he thought were his allies are anything but.moreless

I have stated my feelings about cliffhanger endings in other reviews I have posted so there's no need to get into that here. This episode is a good way to end the season. The climax of the episode, where McGarrett finally learns the truth is very well done. Despite the fact that she was no saint I was a little saddened to see the Governor meet her end. Jean Smart is a very good actress. Though she was not a regular, she did a very good job in her part. Too bad we won't see her again. Until next season...moreless
  • The fun pace of the show takes a dramatic twist as the very foundations of the team are being rocked by a predictable twist.

It really doesn't matter though if the answer to a season long mystery was right in front of everyone's nose. Not if it makes up for stunning revelations. Steve investigating the governor after the car bomb drops (which was also very predictable but still awesome) isn't anything new under the Hawaiian sun but it was done in an entertaining manner.

Every twist and every turn could be seen from miles away. It makes it a lot harder to keep anyone's attention then. Luckily there's something to be said from the fun team O'Loughlin and Caan make. Even better is the show's capability to have semi-shocking personal stories balance the semi-shocking cases perfectly. It results in a cliffhanger that isn't surprising or refreshing even but it works nonetheless.

Nothing new but still worth the watch.moreless

    • Danny: (To Steve) Okay, let me just make a statement. Out of the top ten dopiest suggestions you have ever had, this is number one with a bullet!
      Chin: What idea is that?
Danny: Oh, he wants to break into the governor's mansion.
      Kono: What?
Danny: All those who think that is a certifiably demented idea, please raise your hand. (Kono and Chin raise their hands but Jenna doesn't) Please raise your hand!
      Jenna: I'm new. I didn't think I got a vote.
Steve: You don't get a vote. And the rest of you are forgetting that 5-0 is not a democracy, it's a benevolent dictatorship. Got it?
