  • Excellent!

A really great and suspenseful if totally creepy story line, some good banter, a terrific car chase scene and much better full cast involvement.

The case opened pretty typically with the requisite murder, but the writers used distraction from the "obvious" very well, with the introduction of the disapproving mother-in-law and then the stalker-who-would-be-PI complicating the initial investigation. Kono and Chin discovering how the crime was carried out and then the hubby's body was the turning point; both in this case, and in my travel plans. I will be checking connecting doors in hotels much more carefully now, but I digress...

It didn't take long for Five-0 to put the whole sordid tale together or even to correctly identify the culprit, but the whole episode just flowed and was fully engaging. It may have been one of my favourite so far. And, not so bad that the creep du jour tossed himself off that cliff.

But the real ending for the episode might just have been the beginning of another life-story McGarrett wasn't expecting. Perhaps it will involve the return of McGarrett's nemesis?moreless
  • A woman shows up in the forest with no memory of what happened, her new husband turns up dead.

Another great episode from the cast and crew of Hawaii Five-0. For those who have questioned some of the believability of the show- I don't think it was an issue here. The storyline was quite plausible, and the writing was spot-on as usual. And, of course, the acting was excellent. Alex O'Loughlin showed us a little more depth and development in this episode, and it was excellent. And as usual- Scott Caan was great. We do need more Grace Park and Daniel Dae Kim in episodes- they don't get enough screen time! This episode takes us to where a lot of other shows wouldn't go. And that is one of the reasons why H50 has been so successful.moreless

  • QUOTES (8)

    • (Steve is reaching for the door knob)
Danny: Whoa, whoa.. What the hell are you doing?
Steve: I am trying to open it, that's what doors do.
Danny: First of all you CAN NOT open doors without consent, is that clear?

    • Danny: May 18th, 1996.
      Steve: What is that?
Danny: It's the last time I puked. Don't make me break my streak!
Steve: You will not puke in this car! You will NOT puke in this car! If you're gonna be sick in here, you crack that window. This is a loaner.

    • Danny: I may, um, have heard a distant cry for help. (Danny is a high voice) "Please help me", coming through the door. Therefore giving us probable cause to the enter the premise.
Steve: And we would be remiss not to render assistance to that call, right? Agreed?
      Danny: I agree, yes.
      (Steve kicks in the door)
Danny: Whoa, whoa, what the hell are you doing.
Steve: Probable cause, I thought we were doing the thing.
Danny: A thing… I meant that we would get a key from the manager you Neanderthal animal.

    • (Steve gives a Lei to Danny)
      Steve: Put his on.
      Danny: Absolutely not.
Steve: Listen, we're going after a dangerous suspect, who may now be aware the police are after him. We don't want to spook him, we want to blend in, put the Lei on.
Danny: Please don't make me wear flowers.
Steve: Danny, we don't have a lot of time.
Danny: I'm going to do it, okay but I'm not going to be happy.
Steve: And take the tie off. No one on a cruise ship wears a tie.
Danny: Oh yes they do all the time so they can hand themselves when they're bored.
Steve: Okay, well put it in your pocket and you can kill yourself later.

    • Kono: You know, I'm probably biased 'cause I'm local but I can't imagine a honeymoon spot less exotic than a Waikiki hotel...

    • Kono: This room alone is bigger than my apparment.
Chin: The trunk of my car is bigger than your appartement.

    • Danny: (about his mother-in-law's visit) The longest and worst 48 hours of my life.
Steve: Hang on, your mother-in-law came all the way from England and stayed for two days.
Danny: No no no, I checked her into the Holiday Inn after two days. It was me or her, babe.

    • (Talking about the fishing trips Chin took with Steve's dad)
Chin: Took me five minutes to realize it was less about the fishing, more about the drinking.
Steve: Yeah, that was like my dad.
