After his father is murdered, Lieutenant Commander Steven J. McGarrett decides to return home to Oahu in order to catch the killer. The governor offers him the opportunity to run a new task force where he is able to call the shots. Steve brings together his own team, beginning with Chin Ho Kelly; an ex-Honolulu Police Detective and former protg of McGarrett's father. Kelly has been assigned to a federal security patrol after being suspected of corruption. Detective Danny "Danno" Williams is a New Jersey cop who recently moved to the island to be close to his 8-year-old daughter. Kono Kalakaua is Kelly's cousin and a rookie officer, fresh from the academy. McGarrett's team is given full backing from the governor.moreless

Well, she is really good looking, but... she is so uncool!!! There is completely no connection with the rest of the team: they all have their characters - they are funny and smart and cute. But she is like an iceberg.
And the idea of a romantic thing between her and Steve?? come on guys!! His trade mark is his bright smile, and she is snow queen....

A lot of people don't like Lori, especially since she was introduced as a potential love interest for Steve. She's flat, doesn't add anything awesome to the show and she's getting way too close too fast to Steve. Some fans (myself included) have a solution. GET KONO WITH STEVE!!!! There's really not that much of an age difference and if the writers would think to get Lori with her boss, why can't Kono? She also knows him way better and as kickass if not more badass than Steve. Love how the writers are pairing Steve and Kono + Danny and Lori together.moreless

i have to admitt i love a guy in uniform with this show i get police with alittle navy thrown in
the 1st season was great it set base line. the 2nd for me was alittle slow to start off but is getting better with joe trying to keep one step ahead of everyone specially steve. you can just see those two are heading for s showdown which is sad in a way i don;t like it when they fight

ps pls keep terry o'quinn as reglur guest star as its nice to have someone from steve pastmoreless

Please, would someone please dismiss this character. She just doesn't cut it with the rest of the ensemble. It's as if the writers are struggling to come up with dialog for her. She's not a fit and needs to go...sooner rather than later. And does she ever wash her hair! Please don't let her be the "love interest" for McGarrett. I think I'll just vomit. He can do much better. Bring back Catherine! And when she hugged him on his return from capture from Wo Fat? Yikes! Thought I was going to lose it there too. Get a clue CBS, she's just not right and we want to vote her off the island.moreless
