AIRED:
A research scientist, Dr. Royce, is set up by revolutionaries to be transported away from the islands in a submarine. McGarrett must stop this from happening and also has to contend with the interference of federal agents in the case.

      • Inside joke: The letter Theresa receives from the Immigration Department is signed "James Heinz". James Heinz is listed in the credits as Associate Producer.

      • When shooting the man who had previously pretended to be shot by Royce, Kreuter's associate carefully picked the gun up with a clamp to avoid damaging the fingerprints. He then proceeded to shoot the man in the back, rather than the front, as Royce had done. If that fact had gotten into the news stories, Royce would have been clued in that much sooner. Not to mention the fact that, at such close range, the bullet could have gone right through and hit Kreuter.
