Hawaii scenery/landmarks: The Ilikai Harbor is the hideout of the devil (Sounds like something the Waterboy's mom would say). When McGarrett is driving the boy's father around, the housing area from the car occupant's view looks a lot like Lunalillo Home Road in Hawaii Kai.

Notable stars: Action movie/TV actor Frank Marth plays Gibbons, the kidnapper with the devil mask. Jim "Mr. Checkers" Demarest plays the devil's landlord, or in this case sealord as Gibbons is renting a boat on the Ilikai Harbor. James Hong plays a money launderer named Tot Kee. Melody Patterson, who later married Danno in real life, is Tot's overly friendly blonde secretary.

I finally get to review this one, which creeped me out as a child during it's first airing in Hawaii. The prologue resembles an episode of The New Zoo Review gone wild, as the masked duo of the devil and Mr. Frog are holding little Scotty prisoner in a shack and discussing what to do with him. Scotty needs to drain the lizard so Mr. Frog, who is wearing a creepy large frog mask, escorts him outside to a small wooden outhouse when Scotty weasels away and leads the crook on a wild goose chase down the mountain. Mr. Frog dogs him but accidently steps off a cliff for his swan song. Meanwhile, the devilishly masked Gibbons had collected the ransom before the boy escaped but finds out the money is a white elephant since he won't be able to spend it until pigs fly because it's been traced. Gibbons has to hold his horses and squirrel away the ransom money because if he gets caught spending it he's a dead duck. As his landlord comes for the rent, Gibbons feels as poor as a churchmouse. McGarrett smells a rat, and his boys persistantly ferret Gibbons out until he is caught like a deer in the headlights trying to sell the ransom money for less cash back.moreless
