This was one of my favorite episodes of the series to date. In a very clever plot, Greek assassins devise an ingenious plot to assassinate Dr. Gregorios Lemira, a well known political figure living in exile in Hawaii. The problem is that Dr. Lemira's estate is heavily guarded by a small private army and he does not take visitors.
He makes an exception for noted German journalist Klaus Marberg, to whom he grants an interview at his residence. After they kill the real Marberg, the Greeks hire their own hit man to enter the country posing as Marberg and arrange to have him shot and make it looks like an attempt on his life. In order to pull it off and make it look real, the marksman must hit Marberg in the chest, 1/8" beside his heart.
As planned, the convalescing Marberg is invited by an unsuspecting Dr. Lemira to recuperate at his estate and conduct the interview when he is better.
Meanwhile, McGarrett becomes suspicious when more and more small facts don't fit the Marberg attempted assassination scenario.
I have never seen a plot like this and though the show was brilliantly and acted. Thoroughly enjoyable!
