Ray: I know you're a fraud.
Dr. Brenda Marshall: Get Out.
Ray: No you're a fraud who screws up. Because you're too arrogant to believe that other people, Nurses know as much as you do and god forbid even more and then when you do screw up you hang us out to dry.
Dr. Brenda Marshall: You can't talk to me like that.
Ray: Oh really, What are you going to do, you going to fire me? Go ahead, try it, try it. Because then I will tell everybody what I know who you are. You're not so tough.
(Christina about to discuss budget cuts with John Morrissey)
Christina: You got any pointers?
Tom: Yeah, why don't you try driving a stake through his heart.
John Morrissey: (calling from inside the office) Hawthorne!
Christina: (to Tom) Is there a heart?
Dr. Brenda Marshall: Nurses second-guessing doctors in the ER has become an Olympic sport, hasn't it? And frankly, Tom, I'm sick of it.
John Morrissey: This hospital is dying. I'm trying to prune things back to help it recover and the board's coming after it with a chainsaw. And you...
Christina: Me what?
John Morrissey: You're soft! You think you can make the hard decisions, but you can't.
(after they lost a patient in the ER)
Ray: Do you want to talk about it?
Candy: What's there to talk about, Ray? You know, it's just another tragedy in a job full of awful tragedies.
Bobbi: (talking to the nurses) Let us be pissed because we can't save everyone. And that is all we want. Every damn one.
