Response: The stuff was acid.
When Kobra Khan shoots venom at Teela and Fisto's faces, it just burns their eyes. However in a previous episode we see his venom can melt tryclop's eye gear, and in another ep he spits at some gun turrents and melts them.
King Hiss: The enslaved Caligars will make a fine victory feast...
Kobra Khan: We will rule again! Tongue Lashor: We? You (pokes Kobra Khan) were never there the first time...
King Hsss (laughing): "You know He-Man, I knew King Grayskull, I fought King Grayskull, and YOU are NO King Grayskull!!"
When discussing Fisto's supposed desertion during the Great Unrest, Fisto tells her about a great battle, and how he can't remember anything after that. It's clearly supposed to imply that he is the wounded, amnesiac soldier who encounters the Sorceress and fathers her child, Teela, as recounted in "Out of the Past."
Kobra Kahn not being around during King Hiss's original takeover bid was already addressed in "Rise of the Snake Men" - it was explained then that he was a descendant of the original Snake Men, not one of the original army itself. This is what Tung Lashor is talking about in this episode.
This episode hints at Kobra Khan's history; he may not have been around the first time King Hiss tried to take over Eternia. This is evident by the comment Tung Lashor makes after Kobra Khan's mention of "ruling again".
In a nice bit of continuity, look closely at Tung Lashor's tongue tip. Compared to the rest of his tongue, its a lighter color. In "Web of Evil", Tung Lashor's tongue was slashed by He-Man's pincer claws. The lighter color shows that Tung Lashor's tongue regenerated, but is newer that the rest of his tongue.
Skeletor and the Evil Warriors don't appear in this episode.
General Rattlor escapes from the Eternian Prison in this episode.
Fisto gets a metal hand in this episode.
Direct continuation of Web of Evil.
King Hiss: see quotes
Hiss' taunt to He-Man is a reference to the famous line from Vice-Presidential candidate Lloyd Bentsen to the senior George Bush's running mate Dan Quayle in 1988. Bentsen was calling the youthful, charismatic Quayle a Kennedy wannabe.
