    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (1)

      • Triklops has a section of his head gear melted away by Kobra Kahn but in the shots before he, Whiplash and Clawful are turned to stone, it's intact.

    • QUOTES (3)

      • Skeletor: Who dares to sit upon my throne!!??
King Hiss: MY throne, I King Hiss, the true ruler of Eternia, have reclaimed Snake Mountain for my own.
Skeletor: Oh? You and what army?
*the Snake Man army appears all around them*

      • Kobra Khan: Skeletor will be a problem, we must first battle past his armies...
        Evil Lyn: *chuckles* Not necessarily...

      • King Hiss: Kneel before your new king!
        Skeletor: Never!

    • NOTES (18)

      • Despite claims that the snake armor will make He-Man more powerful, as we soon see, it actually seems to make him weaker. He-Man is trounced this episode, and in subsequent episodes, he gets blasted and even given addtional armor to assist in a mission. So much for extra power...

Response: He-man was given the snake armor to fight King Hiss and the Snakemen, not Skeletor and his evil warriors.

      • Stinkor's line, "Aw, the sweet smell of victory," is a nod to the first episode where he officially appeared in, obviously titled The Sweet Smell of Victory.

      • With this episode, Brian Dobson plays a character on all three factions. He plays a Master (Buzz-Off), an Evil Warrior (Skeletor) and a Snakeman (King Hiss).

      • With this episode we get a glimpse at inner workings of Triklops' head gear. Apparantly, the device hooks into his eyes which enables him to see.

      • A new intro starts with this episode, eliminating the similar intro speech from the original series.

      • For the time being, Skeletor and his evil warriors have been dispatched by the Snake Men.

      • The show gains a completely new opening sequence, starting this episode.

      • Besides King Hiss, the other Snake Men that were released with him were Sssqueeze (A Snake Man with long Snake-like Arms), Snake Face (A Snake Man that can turn people into Stone), and Tung Lashor (A Snake Man with a long whip-like Snake Tongue).

      • Introduces SnakeFace, SSSQueeze, and Tung Lashor of the Snake Men.

      • He-Man gains his new "Snake-Hunter" armour in this episode

      • Evil Lynn betrays Skeletor and joins up with the Snake Men.

      • All of Skeletor's Evil Warriors are turned to Stone in this episode, making the Snake Men the main Villains of season 2 of the series.

      • Trap-Jaw oddly does not appear.
The Snake Men are: King Hsss/Hiss, Cobra Kahn, General Rattlor, Tung Lashor, Ssssqueeze, and Snake Face. All were toys from the original line. All we need now is Blast-Attack...

      • Snake Men Recap:

In the 80's "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" series, Kobra Khan was Skeletor's henchmen, Rattlor and Tung Lashor were Hordak's henchmen in "She-Ra: Princess of Power," while King Hiss, Snake Face, And SSSQueeze were the main enemies of the attempted but-never-went-into-production prequel series, "He-Ro and the Powers of Grayskull" alongside of Kobra Khan, Rattlor, and Tung Lashor.

It is unconfirmed if the "Stoned" warriors are truly dead or not. And where was Webstor and Panthor when this happened.

      • This episode reintroduces Kobra Kahn and General Ratlor, and we get our first real look at King Hiss. This episode also introduces the rest of the main soldiers for the snake men army, Tongue Lasher, Squeeze, and Snake Face. Also we see Snake Faces power to turn people to stone. The apparent deaths of Tri-Klops, BeastMan, Whiplash, and MerMan are the result of this power

      • The theme of "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" was altered so that it shows the battle against King Hiss and the Snake Men. The show was renamed "Masters of the Universe VS The Snake Men."

      • This begins the "Rise of the Snake Men" story arc

      • Zodak's brother's name is Zeelahr.
