Two-Bad was originally going to be part of Skeletor's crew right from the start of the series, and featured in the initial scripts for some of the earlier episodes. But when the writing staff was discussing possible backgrounds for the characters, one of them suggested that Two-Bad was once two separate beings. Dean Stefan liked this idea so much that he decided there should be an episode written around it, and he edited Two-Bad out of the earlier scripts to make way for this episode, which tells his origin.
