      • During the final shot of this episode, a zoom-out from Snake Mountain, the lava stream appears to be flowing upward, into the snake's mouth. This is because this is the common "zoom-in to Snake Mountain" shot run in reverse.

      • Two-Bad was originally going to be part of Skeletor's crew right from the start of the series, and featured in the initial scripts for some of the earlier episodes. But when the writing staff was discussing possible backgrounds for the characters, one of them suggested that Two-Bad was once two separate beings. Dean Stefan liked this idea so much that he decided there should be an episode written around it, and he edited Two-Bad out of the earlier scripts to make way for this episode, which tells his origin.

      • This episode introduces the classic He-Man villain Two-Bad, who, according to this episode, where once two beings that were bonded together by Skeletor by their refusal to work together.
